My religion is best because it's non-existent. No rules, no "sins", no fear of hell or being smote

Do you think the religion you are following is the best religion and others are just following their religion because their parents are following the same?

I think all religion are equal. All religion teach goodness with other people and i'm not feel my religion is the best religion. i mean all religion are best. so why we need the best for religion

it's not religion that is the problem, it's the people. There should be a universal religion with one "holy book" that has just one line in it, and it would be "Don't be a dick".

People should be allowed to make informed choices by themselves in the light of knowledge, science and facts, not faith or wizardry.

totally endorse what you said, the fact is that no religion is better than others, it would be racist

Exactly They don't use logic and are subjective. Can't compete with such persons. They're brainwashed. Everyday science proves religion is a scam and they choose to ignore facts. Pointless to try. Let them drown in their own delusions.

Do you think the religion you are following is the best religion and others are just following their religion because their parents are following the same?

The truth is every religious people thinks that their religion is the best, so arguing with religious people about what is the best religion is a waste of time.

Of course everyone thinks his religion is best! Some people have even made a religion out of thinking that their religion is NOT best.

 Cheesy

I know, that's why arguing about it is like talk in to a 3yrs old kid and it's annoying. Arguing with religious people about religion will take a toll on you . I know what I'm saying first hand.

From http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/argue?s=t:
Quote
argue
[ahr-gyoo]

verb (used without object), argued, arguing.

1. to present reasons for or against a thing:
He argued in favor of capital punishment.

2. to contend in oral disagreement; dispute:
The senator argued with the president about the new tax bill.
verb (used with object), argued, arguing.

3. to state the reasons for or against:
The lawyers argued the case.

4. to maintain in reasoning:
to argue that the news report must be wrong.

5. to persuade, drive, etc., by reasoning:
to argue someone out of a plan.

6. to show; prove; imply; indicate:
His clothes argue poverty.

So you see? Arguing is a good thing as long as it remains peaceful. Arguing brings out points that others may have not seen. Arguing often shows the validity of points that others didn't know were valid.

In your case, arguing with religious people doesn't take its toll on you because they simply won't listen. Rather, it takes its toll on you because you don't have any logic that can stand up against theirs.
In other words, your logical mind is trying to tell you that they are right. But you aren't listening to your logical self. Thus, your argument exhaustion comes from you arguing with yourself rather than with the religious person. All the religious person does is to bring up his points of argument.

Smiley

Na, that's wrong, they really often don't listen.

Most religious people I've had discussions with can't use logic when they argue about topics that veer close to their god. That's what I find most exhausting.

yeah arguing is good, but the point is neither both side is listening so its a waste of time. just like what we are doing right now we are proving our points but this conversation will never stop as long as you present a new point and its annoying specially if the one your arguing with is not listening to anything that you say. im not saying that its you but im just making our conversation as an example.

Yeah - many people say that they have no religion but secretly fear God - I wonder if there are people that really don't think about God and if there is any punishment/reward after death.

Well here is my take on death, I don't remember before I was born, so no worries on that.
I will not remember after my death, so no worries on that.

Death is 100% guaranteed, the people who wish in a god, are just living in a lost cause.

Amen to that brother.
as the saying goes: "dust to dust" - there's nothing after death and any rational and objective man should see that.
Nothing in this life was made without rational, clear thinking.

Most religions are trying to say the same thing in a different way. It's all up to personal interpretation and acceptance of the message.

My religion is best because I don't follow an organized religion. Hell some days I dont even believe there is a god, but I don't look down on anyone with different beliefs like most religions do. I dont think all gay people are going to hell, there are no priests raping young boys in my religion, there isn't passing judgement, I just am ME. I live life as a good person, but not a religious person, we don't need a book telling us how to live, it doesn't take a genious to know you shouldn't steal, cheat, lie, kill etc

I am Baptist but religion is a highly personal preference.
Study all of them and go the different churches and synagogues.
We all may walk a different path but we are all striving for the same goal at the end of the path.
So called religions who choose to kill in the name of a higher being, is not a true Jesus Christ, Jehovah, Messiah, etc religion.

I don't think that my religion is the best. In fact, I'm not very religious but I was brought to be. All religions in the world should be equal and all people should have the right for their own religion without any fear.
what the fuck would be the point in following a religion or any sort of belief system if its no better than anyone else's
