This is off topic, but I was curious: Is Julian Assange still running wikileaks? Or is it run by a consortium of people?

Very smart move on their part, imo. Bitcoin does seem like something they'd be all for, and they made a few thousand from donations already.

Sweet bananas! Good commercial, and even sweeter that we can now donate via BTC.HEH! They say it's a currency without enough merchants and services, yet I keep spending.....
Oh god, I hope the Wikileaks people are smart enough to know not to spend all that money at once to keep some kind of value with it. Maybe spreading it back through different BTC based stores and what not for things they need.

Why wouldn't they accept btc donations? In the worst case, it means they make zero money. It's not like people are going to donate with bitcoin instead of USDs.
