Lohoris, your emails are read by support workers, they don't care about your "bitpay spam".

You need to contact the right people, write in threads and discussions.
But I don't care.

That is the address they provided, and I just wrote them what they shold do if they aren't stupid.

Not my problem if they won't listen.

I've sent them this email

FYI

https://bitpay.com/
It works basically like paypal: they'll accept BTC from users, and will hand you USD, so that you don't have to bother with actually receiving BTC.
Either that, or you don't really need money as you claim.

every time I come to these forums i think my iq drops 20 points.

You people are fucking morons for wanting to donate to the wikipedia liars.

Also why does bitcoin attract so many stupid people who think regulating bitcoin is what bitcoin's intent is?

I personally would not ever donate to Wikipedia, the Wikimedia Foundation, etc. They are a bureaucratic meth addict's wet dream.

But Wikipedia.org is a top 5 site - huge. If they accept Bitcoin it would just serve our own greedy goals.

There has got to be a politcal reason that they don't accept bitcoin donations.  I haven't looked into this at all, but who owns wikipedia, or who sponsors it?

They would benefit from it hugely.  They probably don't want to be seen as endorsing it.

That's a interesting logic, so anyone that is accepting paypal for payments, is endorsing paypal?
Well, yes?

That's not the logic of the masses though. At the moment they think Bitcoin is for drug dealers, child pornographers and tax evaders even though fiat is more widley abused for that sort of stuff, but they'll just keep believing the media slander,

please everyone that has a sec email them saying that you would donate if they were taking bitcoins.

Lots of people have emailed them that already. Doesn't seem to be making much difference.

What the hell does "endorsing it" even mean?  By accepting euros an organization isn't assenting to the sociopolitical/fiscal policies of the European Union.  By accepting a donation, all they are doing is acknowledging that said currency is worth money.

I also do not understand why they won't accept BTC donations.
I'm sure they'd benefit a lot from it.

I don't donate because Wikipedia is not collaborative at all, at least in my language's section. It's dominated by political views, it's ridiculous that some admins and arbitrators have a political party logo on their profile page.
