If the price of the Altcoin goes up, then the Bitcoin value will go up. The reason is that when the price of Bitcoin goes up, the price of Altcoin goes up as well.
If people start buying Altcoin more than today, the price of Bitcoin will go up as well.
If the price of Bitcoin goes up by 2021, it will be a record.
Am I right?

Sorry pal you lack a lot about how bitcoin/altcoin works, every single altcoins in crypto space depends entirely on bitcoin itself, if bitcoin loses its value all other coins will reevaluate and if bitcoin surge in value all other coins will increase in value, buying altcoins to make bitcoin rise is nonsense

There is a correlation between BTC and altcoins, right, but the one side depends on another one. As a short answer to your question, the altcoins depend on the price of Bitcoin due to the market dominance od last mentioned. If there is no transfer between altcoin marketcap and BTC, it means external sources were used for pumping altcoins.
if we pay attention to the market it does happen like that. but sometimes several factors block that correlation. like what happened in the middle of last year when bitcoin pumped with a very strong market domination that made altcoin unable to move. when the situation is different, we can see the correlation that you are talking about. and of course, everyone seems to be happy with this.

It absolutely yes...
And besides, we are seeing by now that some altcoins have been started to move in accordingly as Bitcoin pumps also. In some ways that some altcoins never work the same because they are dead already and I don't think that we should consider those and be counted. But for potential altcoins, they are be moving high, as usual. May not this day or the other day but it possible we gonna see altcoins soaring high again this year.
It all be possible as we know that and investors or altcoins developers are looking for some way to help and improve its market attractions in order to win back the trust of the people around. And may this helps to uplift the market situation.

actually it is the other way around mate, because obviously people tend to buy Bitcoin more than altcoin but i see your point here that instead of Bitcoin pursuing why not we pursue the Altcoin since this is much cheaper but profitable also right?though risky to find the right one to buy but if we will choose at least the top 30 currency then the advantage of not losing is there specially if the Bitcoin Value continues to grow and Halving took over the market movement.

of course the price of the altcoins goes along with the bitcoin.
nevertheless the BTC has the best or most stable growth compared to the rest.
when we will see the next ATH i do not dare to guess. but with 2021 you will not be completely wrong. Cool

As we all know, the prices of Altcoins are very dependent on the price of Bitcoin and until the real bull run begins, Altcoins will still be at the lowest level. I am sure that the prices of all cryptocurrencies will jump, but we must be patient, because we may have to wait a few months.
Indeed, we will probably need to wait a few more months before altcoins rise because right now, the value of bitcoin is creating a dominance and bloodshed in the market, virtually altcoins will continue to decline as long as the value of bitcoin does not stop and continue to rise, only when bitcoin receives an adjustment and capital allocation back to altcoin, that will be the moment when the altcoin jump up.

yes altcoins price is going to jump most likely
if not in USD price so in BTC price
either way its a win win if you choose a good strategy
depends on what will be the outcome of the coming bitcoin halving, cause most altcoins cant stand in thier own, they depends on bitcoins price.
Still tailing the movements of bitcoin, if this halving season bring a good sign most of the time good things also take place with top coins
around the market, it's a cycle where bear might be replace by bull and make everything profitable to those who invested their money and
and choose crypto for their investment.

Every bitcoin move the price the altcoins follow so once bitcoin goes down many altcoins are goes down also. If the price of bitcoin goes up the altcoins follow because many altcoins are depend on the value of bitcoin. True it will be in record once bitcoin goes up and hit the price we wait it will be recorded.

I don't see a massive increase in the price of Altcoins over BTC anytime soon. As you could see several altcoins are already lower because of the upcoming BTC halving, as a result, the BTC dominance is very high. The money will flow back to altcoins once the BTC price saturates at some point so the investors look to invest in the cheaper alts which I expect to be in this year-end or early 2021 IMO
Bitcoin currently dominates this market and overwhelms all altcoins. I think this year altcoin will follow Bitcoin price and if this coin goes up, then the market will definitely return to the best growth period.

Bitcoin has been seeing huge price increases over the last few days and this is what many have been waiting for this year. Hopefully, this year everything will be favorable and help investors earn high profits.

no
if price of Bitcoin goes up - and the price of altcoins relative to BTC stays the same, so the altcoins price in USD goes up
there is the game between this 3 prices that you can use for your own good if you understand it
or lose money while you think that you are gaining

Not at all because alts and btc price isnt correlated from time to time.We have seen recently that the price of btc doesnt affect much on alts therefore
we can say that price of alts doesnt always go along with btc but at least on some coins we do see some increase somehow. Its up to you if you do
risk on buying up some coins but dont expect too much that it will surely rise when BTC tends to.

Now the altcoins are having issues and the rise in price is due to bitcoin rise if its in small % but if the altcoin jump x2 or higher that means that people are buying it and the altcoin price is going up faster than bitcoin growth.
Some altcoins already pump 5x times compare to its price last year and I think that’s not all about bitcoin but it also about the progress on the altcoins technology, and I think this will make the altcoins better again if they continue to grow. The bull depends on bitcoin, but altcoin should not depend on that and I hope to see more updates especially with the top altcoins, this can be a great time for the altcoins season.

Firstly, there is no such thing anyway. If 5 are invested in altcoins, at least 10 are invested in Bitcoin.
There is no such thing as well. How did you come with that conclusion, 5 and 10? That doesn't make any sense.

Secondly, let us assume that the situation has developed as you think, but this time the result will not be so. Because trader sells Bitcoin for getting altcoin.
They sell Bitcoin either go for flat or altcoins, sell Bitcoin just for solely getting altcoin is not a wise choice and shouldn't do that in the first place and also it's a bad run.

It's the opposite I think, if the Bitcoin's price increases over USD the altcoin increases as well because most of the altcoins are in paired with bitcoin I think they're just somewhat connected to each other if you're going to observe  the market you will notice that most of the coins have the same ups and downs with bitcoin (not totally the same but same pattern).

Well if you ask if you the price will jump because many people will buy altcoin i think not it still depends on the demand of the bitcoin to the buyers.

Yes, you are somewhat correct. Price for bitcoins and altcoins is somewhat co-related. They show is constant growth if any of them starts having the pump or dump. Usually most of the people or traders trade with altcoins keeping bitcoin as their trading pair.

In this situation, they might need to sell their bitcoins in order to purchase other altcoins which might derive the price for bitcoins on a descending graph if the quantity of such traders is maximum in number. This might than go contrary as you said. Each time when the bull runs arrive, bitcoin is the first coin to show us some progress which is then followed by other major coins. Minor altcoin are the last in queue to join the bull runs.

It's not, when you are watching so many thread here that was asking about how to build the portfolios and the majority of them will try to pick bitcoin as the main choose to be filled with a lot of their money and then they will put the rest of their money into the altcoin.
I can assume if there are 10 people who interested investing on crypto and they are all will be investing in bitcoin and altcoin. There was a small chance for some people may only investing on bitcoin.
