in my opinion there will never be an altcoin that will replace BITCOIN, because BITCOIN is the pioneer for all the existing altcoins. If only BITCOIN did not exist then there would be no altcoins.

i don't think it's going to happen in a very long time, if you know BTC has a very secured network and it virtually impossible to hack BTC so it's going to take a whole lot to overtake BTC

I don't see this happening. It could happen maybe in 100 years time when cryptocurrencies are as easy to spend as our fiats today but realistically, BTC has always maintained a little over and under 50% of the total market capitalization of the cryptocurrency market.
With The 21 million total supply and 18million btc already mined so far, there will be more scarcity and this will increase the price more.
I cant see any cryptocurrency taking over BTC as the top cryptocurrency in the Blockchain space.

Well, In as much as I believe that anything is possible in the crypto space, and another fact being that no man owns or control the industry, I think it's pretty difficult for any project or new coin to rise up now and overtake bitcoin, this is because, alot of developers around the world are working on bitcoin 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, they are working to improve bitcoin in the most possible way, so I personally think it's practically difficult for any coin to raise up now and take the place of bitcoin, it's the same as impossible.

It's outlandish for altcoin to surpass bitcoin at the present time yet ethereum has at any point taken the bitcoin detect a couple of years prior. Bitcoin very much like a dollar since it was administering crypto environment. You can see from the how much strength that all around possessed by bitcoin and that is all that anyone could need to say if that won't ever occur.

I think in the very distant future, Ethereum may take the place of Bitcoin. This scenario is only possible in terms of ETH technology, which will certainly develop even more and offer its users new breakthrough technologies. Bitcoin is currently of interest to large investors, it is ideal for the role of the first legally recognized cryptocurrency.

But there are many nuances with which most countries do not yet agree. Bitcoin is very securely fixed in its place and no altcoin will be able to move it.

The Standard Protocol - Solving Inflation
Taking into consideration the nature and redundancy of Bitcoin technology and the difficulty in scaling, I am very curious to know if Bitcoin protocol will be dropped one day and another coin build to take its place. because now it's almost like the redundancy of Bitcoin and the time it takes for a transaction to be processed is part of what is affecting its mainstream adoption as a currency. please share your thoughts.
I don't know why most people keep searching for the new bitcoin, which they never seem to find at the end cuz there's only one bitcoin, no altcoin with more advanced tech will still be able to take bitcoin's place even if it has a lower supply plus burning mechanism it still won't be able to beat bitcoin, it's just one fact we have to live with, no altcoin will be able to flip bitcoin, Ethereum came close back then, but right now it's impossible.

Too impossible to happen. Why? We all know that bitcoin is the mother of all crypt of and I would say no other coin can overtake bitcoin. We are all here because of bitcoin and those altcoins are just relying on bitcoin even Binance can't overtake bitcoin for sure. I think this is also ask many times already here on this site and the answer is always NO.
yes, I also doubt any coin can beat bitcoin today. especially if big investors like Elon Musk see bitcoin as a change compared to other coins. besides, if the price of bitcoin falls, then there is a big possibility that bitcoin will drag the altcoins to fall too. So, I don't think there is an altcoin that has survived and can surpass bitcoin.

I think it is impossible to replace bitcoin in the near future. Right now the market capitalization of bitcoin is quite large and if anyone is able to replace it, of course the market movement pattern will change. Historically, the early existence of cryptocurrency was also formed because bitcoin was not possible to replace it. There used to be a hard fork that was rumored to be replacing bitcoin but that couldn't happen. several times this sentiment has been reported a lot but still people's trust is still in bitcoin

Do not die for Putin
Not in the short term no. The limited supply and branding of bitcoin puts it in the radar of the serious investors out there. We are talking about investment funds and the like that, as of now, are on the phase of diversifying from traditional stocks into cryptos. It will take at least five years until any other project stands a chance of attracting half of the attention BTC has now.

I don't know about that really, because bitcoin is not only the pioneer, it's the symbol of the birth of cryptocurrencies. So it held not only just historical value, but also sentimental. People tend to look up to it. Unless there's new coin that have qualities near perfect or fulfil all the aspects that can be considered functional in real world with super branding and marketing then it might be happening. but until those super coin arrived, I don't think bitcoin is replacable.
yes, it will not be replaced by any asset. although nothing can beat the price. but in terms of adoption and volume in the bitcoin market, it will remain at the top.
wasn't right thinking this was all happening. because if that happens in the crypto market it could be that bitcoin is in bad shape and that also affects the crypto market as a whole. and altcoins to replace it I don't think will get a chance.

By now it is clear that Ethereum will not be able to overtake Bitcoin. Issues such as scalability and security flaws are even worse with Ethereum. And ETH 2.0 is turning out to be a big disappointment. The Bitcoin forks such as BCH, BTG and BSV are also getting obsolete now. They are only a few months away from their demise (after showing a lot of promise earlier). Now the only chance is that some of the third generation cryptocurrencies such as ADA or NEO will replace Bitcoin. But that looks like a very distant possibility now.

It will be very difficult for other altcoins to take over the position of bitcoin, because bitcoin is the mother of crypto itself, but this is not impossible, because as the times change, more people will put forward coins that have advantages and functions better than bitcoin. suitable candidates in my opinion are eth and bnb
Things that are difficult to replace because bitcoin is the first crypto and also fundamentally Bitcoin is strongly believed by investors. nothing can replace it even though the concept is good.
In the past, rumors about the Bitcoin Cash Hard fork that could replace Bitcoin actually couldn't. so for me it is impossible if anyone can replace it. in the marketcap itself, bitcoin is quite high now

I do not think it is going to happen atleast for many many more years. But with recent developments and upcoming Eth 2.0 and deflationary model of ethereum network i do think that ethereum will become capable to gain more market share and give some serious competition to bitcoin espevially if they are able to come up as an efficient network for mass usage.
- Ethereum is a superior competitor to the rest and stands very close to bitcoin but after years of racing, occupying each other's market share, I just see the value of ethereum being too small compared to the rise of bitcoin, I don't want to underestimate ethereum and everyone's judgment but this is a practical perspective, bitcoin is still preferred by many people. After the most recent bull run, surpassing bitcoin has probably become a nightmare for most altcoins, despite the rapid growth of altcoins, bitcoin crushes them too easily.

I don't think there will be another altcoin that will over take Bitcoin. It was the first altcoin to be created before all the others definitely the master of all.A rise in price of Btc will cause all the other altcoins to rise and vice-versa so it will take a long time to create any altcoin that will overtake Btc.
I myself am very surprised when the development of crypto has expanded, as today there are so many unimportant jokes born into crypto, some of them are too overbearing to say that they will take over Bitcoin and Bitcoin's current position, do they think Bitcoin will develop in just one day ?
