it depends on the impact of mining influence of these some large mining pool like bitmain and antpool to the public like merchants and retailers and to large trading countires like Korea and Japan if they can penetrate the market for trading and other business alliance just like the Ethereum alliance had, then that's the time we could say it would become the true bitcoin. the mining infrastructure can be easily switch from BTC to BCH mining as they have the same algo but for marketing and business influence is the hardest part to switch.

No, Bitcoin will still become the real one, BitcoinCash is just a copycat, and the miners is only mine which one is the most profitable, but in the real usage, Bitcoin still become number one, recently there are a lot of pumping for BitcoinCash the price really went up double, but I believe BitcoinCash is just another alt, the pumping will not stay for a long time

There is an easy way to see which is the true Bitcoin. Try to send Bitcoins to any website that accepts Bitcoin and see which one goes through, BCH or BTC. (not recommended)

Yes, there is no single site that I see accepting BCH on the web. Bitcoin is the only real one.
Some guys are just trying to pump the BCH and then dump BCH when everybody is on board.
That is the way I see it... Tongue

If you're comparing ETH/ETC to BTC/BCH, then you should be saying that BTC is ETC and BCH is ETH. Ethereum "Classic" is the original blockchain. ETH is what forked off from it.

BTC is the original blockchain. BCH is what forked off from it.
Yes, but where did the original development team go? This should tell us something...

Vitalik Buterin and his core team chose (in fact, they created) ETH (the forked coin). And ETH is now the biggest, most valuable blockchain. ETC is the old, legacy coin, without the original development team supporting it.

Similarly, the Bitcoin core developers are backing BTC. And I believe that BTC will be the biggest, most valuable blockchain as a result of this. BCH is the forked coin, without the original development team behind it. I'm not so comfortable knowing that Jihan Wu, Roger Ver and some unknown coders of questionable quality are deciding on the rules of this coin...

Makes sense, and ETH is centralized as well. Also both ends with H, while the original ones ends with C.

No man there is no way that bitcoin cash can be the new bitcoin. The real btc has been around since 2009, and bitcoin cash is the result of a fork of that coin, so that tells you everything you must know about it.
Bitcoin cash is just an useless coin, there is no way it can be #1 crypto.
Just think about it, the same happened with ethereum and ethereum classic. At the first, etc was hyped and then it came back to $14, and it is standing on that price for more than two months.

Pretty sure it's not going to become the 'real' bitcoin.  However, I just bought a
little bit of it.  Not going to hold it, just trying to make a little profit from the
trade.  My thinking is that it's eventually going to rise, because there are
enough people interested in it to justify a boost.  Don't know how long that's
going to take.  I'll let the sell order sit for a week or so, see what happens.

Hey,

Miners are actually trying to pump BCH and chill it a lot. (faster process, BTC has flaws ...).
Do you think they want to get BCH to become the "real" bitcoin, or simply to accumute more BTC ?

For the poll, we can consider the "true" bitcoin is the one with the higher price.
I just give you a simple words to answer your question, and so, the bitcoin cash will not be there if the real bitcoin wasn't in there. The bitcoin cash has created from forked the real bitcoin and try to split the chain and that gives the result as a bitcoin cash in our community and the answer is never. Bitcoin cash just forked coin and not a true bitcoin.

difficult to say but not impossible
as most of the bitcoin holders are from china, and if they see BCC price increasing more, miners would shift to BCC
which can cause BTC to dump
Do you think it can be true that those miners will transfer or switch into bitcoin cash to dump btc...
I think its impossible to happen as of now bitcoin will be still a useful cryptocurrency because there are many exchange site are supporting bitcoin than bitcoin cash and i think even some miners are shifted into BCC we can say that BCC can be increase but the value of bitcoin can be still remain..

I voted no. I do not think so that BCH will be the true Bitcoin. As people know Bitcoin cash just another clone of BTC and bitcoin is more useful than bitcoin cash.

You ask on the blockstream forum and expect something else than 90 % NO, HELL NO and NEVER? People here don't even know what OMG (OmiseGo) is, until it hits $50+ in a few months or weeks. The same like they missed the train with Ethereum.

It seems like you're trying to convince us BCH is going to become the "true" Bitcoin. That will likely never happen.

I don't. I voted "No" to my poll. I just wanted to get the opinon of others.

Quote
Let's be real, most miners like do not care which Bitcoin is the "real" Bitcoin, so long as their mining investments are secure and they don't have to worry about their equipment becoming obsolete due to a death of cryptos. Most miners are driven by money, so they have no issues mining something with their equipment as long as they are mining something to begin with. If they can make more money off of a pump of a crypto, like what we saw with BCH, then they are going to promote it because there is a lot more to be made with an investment that is increasing in value compared to a crypto like Bitcoin, simply because there is more growth potential.

Agree, they for sure don't give a fu*k to crypto. However, I think the biggest miners (eg Antpool aka Bitmain) is not only mining to get bitcoin but also to get enough power to manipulate the market, and that's what they do ! Guess what the big minners want to do and you'll know what will go up and down. My theory is that letting BCH become the "true" bitcoin will more likely hurt crypto confidence a lot. BCH is probably a classic P&D allowing big miners to unload their BCH at a high price and buy some cheap BTC.
