BTC Cash will be like Ethereum Classic, although in this case the new BTC Cash is not widely accepted and if exchanges don't want it (which Coinbase refuses lol) the price will fall. It's already fallen from $900 to $300 last time I checked

I admit that ever will be issued a plastic card which will act as a offline bitcoin wallet, but what will exist in the Fiat bitcoin I don't believe it. Printing money is a very complicated process which can only afford the state. The idea of the cash of bitcoin is contrary to the decentralization and never will be supported by the community.

give me your cryptos
I really doubt bitcoin cash will do well. Sure, it's got the support of some big-name miners, namely viaBTC, but the base concept is horrible. It revolves around the fact that bitcoin is going towards an ecosystem much like gold, with high transaction fees, slow confirmation times but with a high value. The thing is, that's only how bitcoin is now. Segwit has the potential to change that, and at the rate the dev team is going, it might even work. But maybe we all can make a quick buck off BCC Smiley

Due to the controversies of the BIP 91 proposal, Bitcoin mining provider ViaBTC and other supporters are planning a hark fork on August 1st. It will be called Bitcoin Cash with a block size of 8mb.

Now, it would be up to debate whenever this separate chain becomes successful in the future and it gets the attention from major exchanges, businesses, and startups that support Bitcoin.

Do you think Bitcoin Cash might overcome the original Bitcoin we know and love in the future? Or will SegWit2x prevail and render other forks useless?

I would like to know your opinion about this Smiley
I really dont know why ViaBTC and other mining pools are supporting this hard fork thus creating Bitcoin Cash, It seems this is strategy just to get some money, how can ViaBTC start trading a currency that doesn't seem to exist in the first place, I hope investors boycott it and stick to the Bitcoins we all know.

Bitcoin Cash is a waste of time and money, simple as that.

I'll be ready with beer and chips, to watch it flashcrash when trade starts. Everyone will sell their 'free' coins instantly while it is still worth something.

I add my vote to the No and explain why if interested.

Miners Greek Circle
Back to the drawing board. Miners either mine for themselves or for someone else for a fee.

If mining for themselves, it's a Greek Circle, let them do whatever they want.

If mining for someone else, say like me as a customer for cloud mining or for renting mining rings, then I will not be interested in mining BCC.

Lunatic Hallucinations
"Ah, Segwit will lose us revenue, so no to Segwit, we hard fork". It is acceptable that they believe themselves, thinking their idea is bright. It is a lunatic hallucination to believe that anyone would subscibe to this reasoning as it only places the community under the total mercy of the miners.

51% attack
At D-day BCC will be hyped, FUD spread etc and BCC will have a good start, taking the ride using "other people's money".
The load-off the network will reduce BTC difficulty and mining will remain profitable even if BTC/USD drop for any reason.
When the BCC ride is no longer sustainable, looking back at BTC will reveal the how far the two have come apart. In this case, there are two options:
Abort BCC and revert to BTC: that would hurt at the beginning but long term it will be positive for them.
Or, à la Luke Jr, they could target a moment in time where BTC/USD is low or difficulty is low or any similar situation and hijack the blockchain: this would be "Predestination"; the new blockchain will not be adopted. It's like that kid doing everything to impose himself but he just have no friends. Atypical to what a community, decentralised grass roots concept would always lead the system.

For my opinion I think that it would really never overcome the original,
It is just like the Ethereum and Etheruem Classic the 2nd one can't overcome the original.
The original has already build a trust to those who are using it since the beginning .

i find this a good altcoin for a free money airdrop lol, you can have plenty of free bitcoin buy just claiming it like you do with clamcoin, importing your wallet and it's done, but i really doubt this new scam coin can take on bitcoin, it seems a bunch of hangry nerd miners got hungry and are making their own shitcoin lmao

Haha this post made me laugh but yeah, Bitcoin Cash will absolutely not become the main bitcoin. It's doomed for failure.

Some people say that bitcoin cash will not last long. People will dump it and gradually bitcoin cash will disappear by itself. But let the time decide!

In my opinion, Bitcoin Cash will not overcome Bitcoin because Bitcoin Cash is just on the second Blockchain to support the main Blockchain so that Bitcoin is still on the main stream.

Most of the answers here is NO, and I do agree. Original Bitcoin will remains as it is, this BCC is for those who wants to control the bitcoin or with personal intentions or whatsoever in my opinion. Try to check also the ETC same thing will happen to BCC. But who knows in the future.

I don't see any possibility of bitcoin cash taking the place of or overcoming bitcoin. Bitcoin cash will end up staying there in the market as another altcoin. Bitcoin cash might replace some other altcoins and become second or third in terms of price but it can't overcome bitcoin, bitcoin has  its reach among masses and it's not possible for any other altcoins to achieve that level of reach and acceptance anytime soon.

It is really sad to see that after the fork fears were well but over, they have started this Bitcoin cash, for me they are just using the name Bitcoin, Bitcoin cash is a alt and post first day, it price shall take a dump and it shall be over, any user investing in it will be really stupid, and I will be surprised if it last more than a week, people are smarter these days, so don't think it shall last. Just another alt will die soon.

I could not understand why so many likes BTC and against BCC, they are brothers and should grow up together, people whoever owns BTC now wil become owners for both in future, there is no obvious reason why loss faith for BCC all of a sudden. end of the day they are al;l bitcoins.

if you treat both well and show your 'decentralised' attitudes towards the two coins, you might end up win &win!

Personal opinion, not likely. In reality, it will depend on the adaptation, if companies/sites/exchanges start accepting it, it might gather some steam. For example, I just got an email from 1Broker regarding Bitcoin Cash that they will not support the split nor the distribution of Bitcoin Cash. Now, I don't know who supports what and what not but this will play a major role on Bitcoin Cash acceptance.

Judging by the reactions of some exchanges, there is apparently more interest from their customers in this altcoin than I would have thought. Now, the question is why: 1) Do people just want a free airdrop, that they can quickly dump on their exchange? 2) Or do people actually like the fundamentals of BCC and want to trade/accumulate it? The whole premise of BCC is ridiculous and the dev team is incompetent. But I find the game theory around all this exciting. To be honest.....even though it's just an altcoin, the right marketing on a Bitcoin fork with impressive hashpower = I wouldn't be surprised to see it gain popularity and actually threaten Bitcoin's network effect. And I do think this would be bad for price in the mid term.

No, I do not think that bitcoin cash will have the power or potential to take over bitcoin's path. Instead, it will remain to be a great altcoin that should bring quite a bit of profit if invested smartly and properly. Bitcoin will always remain to be the main and biggest crypto, not BCC.

In my opinion, I don't think that bitcoin cash will overcome bitcoin. Bitcoin have proven itself for years and I don't think I can trust those who just imitates bitcoin's framework. Me and my brother pondered about this matter. And he thinks that those people who like to push the split just wanted to make new coins using btc's original chain.

The main issue I have with BCC is that it has a dynamic difficulty adjustment, basically a way to artificially keep the chain alive even if there isn't enough mining support. Bixin mining pool mentions it in an article here

In my own perception, nothing will ever overcome the original.  Bitcoin was around for almost a decade and continue to grow.

It's look like. Bitcoin value will skyrocket after SegWit

i am agree with you because the original will always be original and its not the same with the other. i am sure that bitcoin will more famous than now because of originality. there will be no 2 leader in the same boat and only the real king will survive and lead the way to the right path which is bitcoin. maybe bcc will gets famous too but not too famous depend with bitcoin.

BCC will not be able to overtake the BTC because the BTC is the king of all cryptocurrency, if the BTC loses its value, no altcoin will survive and the crypto world will collapse.
