No way they are just two sides of a river which can't be one at any point.
Bitcoin core team will just dump all the free bitcoincash they have which will be enough to crash the bitcoincash's market. When segwit and lightening network will be activated bitcoin (BTC) will be far more valuable than this bitcoin cash shit.

why do you care what a bunch of programmers that you don't even know, do with their time?
they can do whatever they like, they can stop developing bitcoin tomorrow, join bitcoin cash, start a new altcoin,....

in the end it won't make a difference. if you focus on this group of programmers and what they decide to do you are centralizing bitcoin with your own hands.

it is not going to happen by the way. bitcoin cash will always remain an altcoin even if they pump the price temporarily up!

I share the sentiment that BCH is not experiencing organic adoption, just market manipulation. It's natural, since like BTC, most supply won't be sent to exchanges. BCH has been lift by those certain people and many big sites had given there words that they won't support the BCH and treat it as an altcoin only so many there's no point for us to think that Bitcoin Core will join to the BCH team since they had bitcoins to work with and there works for it doesn't stop since they surely want more adoptions to come with bitcoins so that the value will rise.

This just alone makes no sense.Whatever the value of Bcash will be, this is not gonna happen.
Bcash has no skilled developers, I'm speaking of top class devs with a shitload of experience and exactly know how the Bitcoin protocol works!!

I believe that will not happen. They've been on their stance in the past years and I think they will not change sides just because BCH is gaining some price movements and some love from the traders. Don't get confused with this and just check the price of BTC now. It is well above $4k mark and is strongly supported there. Bitcoin core team will not change sides.

Of course not. They are against hard forks in general, and especially ones without wide community support. They would continue supporting legacy Bitcoin no matter what happens with Bitcoin Cash. I remember Greg Maxwell said recently that if a significant split happened and the corporate hard forked version of "Bitcoin" overtook the legacy chain, that he would rather launch an altcoin than work on the hard forked version.

Just been said above ^ For sure Core devs wont transfer on bitcoin cash itself and they would go on other coins like Litecoin and other choices and I'm sure it wont really be Bitcoin cash. It do really sucks when we think off that bitcoin would be knocked off by Bitcoin cash. Shocked

If I remember correctly I think one of the developers said that if segwit in bitcoin was not activated he will move to litecoin and I think most devs probably have the same idea, if bitcoin cash won the war then the core team is not going to join bitcoin cash team they are just going to move on to litecoin or to do other things with their time.

There`s no such thing as "bitcoin core team".Bitcoin cash has a team of supporters for sure. Grin

Bitcoin core users are free to buy Bitcoin cash if they want to(if it`s really possible to buy BCH,because most of the BCH miners are holding their coins).
