I'm not sure If it goes below $40,000 but chances are always there.
Yes, I think the same as you. The current price is about $54,000 and looks like too far if we predict to drop below $40,000. But nothing impossible, there is always a chance to drop at that price. However, if there is no bad news or negative issues about Bitcoin or crypto, I think the price of Bitcoin will survive above $45,000. In the last few weeks, the corrections in Bitcoin price didn't move very significantly. CMIIW

Today, the price is below $50,000 and it's dropping big time, my question, with this movement, will we see a bitcoin price below $40,000?
$40,000 is very possible before the end of the month. Especially if Bitcoin will touch $44,000 which for me, is the key level for strong support.
But I am hoping Bitcoin will not, especially since Bitcoin is now above $50,000 again.
I challenge that bears should try first the $44,000 before that $40,000, no worries at all, stay calm and stay 💎 hands.
I was thinking the same but we've been trick again. We are thinking badly as the market shows some declines but looking at the chart, we are likely heading back to $60k before the end of this month, a big opposite from what we speculate.
Seeing the market to dump and getting over with the Bullrun, it seems hard this time. We even heard that there is another big company buying Bitcoin this time and this could positively affect the trend to stay long at $50k.

Hopefully, the bitcoin price will not go below $40k, but we do not know about that and we are not sure.
If the price still goes down for more and finally reaches $40k, that will be a big discount to buy bitcoin at a deep price.
But I am sure that the bitcoin price will reach $100k in the future, no matter if that will happen this year or next year because I am not sure that the price can reach $100k this year.
We can prepare the money to buy back bitcoin, so when the price really goes down $40k, we are ready to buy bitcoin.
More and more institutional investor are willing to invest in bitcoin, which means that confidence in bitcoin continues to grow. Nexon also recently announced their huge investment in bitcoin with the amount of $100 million, their move will further strengthen the speculation that bitcoin will soon rise higher than now. While we want the price to go up to $100K, we have to believe that there is a cycle we have to go through along the way. Correction is natural.

Technically analyzing Bitcoin can't go below $40,000 execpt a very critical news poops up that would warrant such drastic fall but for now I say a big no to this

I think that for now the price will not go down by the $ 40k level, as many institutional investors are defending the price, although it can go as high as $ 43k because it has a natural correction of 35% according to Peter Brandt, a new investment from Korea. of the South called Nexon from bought Bitcoin, this probably does not help to reduce the price too much, and even so, the income from mining in Bitcoin is quite generous and nobody wants to stop earning:
Yeah, If bitcoin is not having enough support then it might have gone below $40k levels along with last week's correction itself. But, we are not seeing even $45k levels get broken.

It means bitcoin is technically too strong to hold above $45k to $50k levels and this is the reason we are stright away bouncing back toward $55k level. I believe we are going to break $60 in next two or three days and then holding above $60 will open doors for new ATH around $70k levels.

As the bitcoin rally continues, the network experiences congestion with investors aiming to cash in on the price surge. Notably, when the asset hits a new all-time high, the fear of missing out sets in, and many investors initiate transactions awaiting confirmation by miners.

I hope that this time we will not see bitcoin below 40K! However, in the future it is quite possible... It all depends on how much bitcoin grows in this cycle... If more than 100K, then 40K will be just a gift! Cheesy
Everything is still possible because nothing can guarantee the future of this volatile asset. It's never wrong to hope that bitcoin price will no longer hit the $40K, but we definitely know that these period and cycle are sure to change sooner or later. We need our own analysis and research as that will help us make the most of our portfolio. But remember, because bitcoin is such a volatile asset, we are bound to see things that don't go quite as expected.

Expect the unexpected indeed! there are still chances that due to heavy volatility the market can go back and pull down for more. The only thing that we can do right now is to continue speculating, you'll be able to continue earning from this market as long as you understnad the flow.

We can hope for the current run to push for more and lessen the chance of moving down up to that level. But still depends from how the appreciation coming from investors and end users.

Looks like we are again going for a dive, look at the price now.

Today, the price is below $50,000 and it's dropping big time, my question, with this movement, will we see a bitcoin price below $40,000?

In my opinion bitcoin will dropped to 45k$ and then again it will start growing and will start maintaining their price on which bitcoin is trading now which us in between 51k$ to 58k$ but this is crypto world so anything can possible may be bitcoin will drop below 40k$ may bitcoin will cross 60k$ again so the chances are 60 40 percent. If bitcoin dropped them will see a major drop.

They're always out there lurking anyway, looking to make a good entry point and then sell short during the price bounce.

IMO, Bitcoin still in a bullish market as long as It doesn't fall below the level of the 2017 ATH. Even at $30,000 level, Btc still considered as high price.
Btc touching below the $50,000 support level was just a consolidation period.
Let's see what Bitcoin brings us on May.

There's always FUDSTER even in the bullish trend and it's their business to create FUDS so they can create panic and those weak hands sell and they are the hands that are going to buy what these weak hands going to sell.

I will only believe that we are going back to the bear trend if Bitcoin falls to $30k even Bitcoin trading at the $45k level can still be considered bullish.

Exactly, just imagine bitcoin going to $150k and then fall to let's say $100k, lol, that's a huge decline but a 6 digit price of bitcoin? that is still huge at what angle you look at it. So regardless if bitcoin goes down to $40k, but if you look at where it come price, we can still same that bitcoin is a success, it's just that there are too many 'enemies', who's going to pull it down no matter what.

I love the term "enemies", I assume these are the FUDSters?

Bitcoin is dying and 1 year from now will 100% be below $40,000. The easiest money you could ever make in the history of the world is to short bitcoin right now.

I seem to love it when people are proclaiming the death of Bitcoin every step of the way. Bitcoin was proclaimed dead perhaps a hundred times in the past years. Bitcoin was dead right from the beginning and then it also died when it reached $0.50 ang again when it reached $50 and then once more at $120. It was again declared dead at $1,200 and then at $12,000. Death was again proclaimed at $20,000 and at $30,000 and then at $40,000 and then at $65,000. That was a sweet death every time.
Bitcoin died several types already, according to the perma bears, and yet they are still in the market an they have been proving wrong. Now the price is going to $55k, when a week ago people are so dishearten and worried and panic sets in because the price is going down and people thinks it will go down to $40k.

Now we are going to $60k+, but these perma bears or bitcoin haters will go on silent mode again, until the price goes down again and the cycle repeats over and over again.

This is the curse that they will have to bear forever. Bitcoin is not going to die so they will not end proclaiming the death of Bitcoin every step of the way until Bitcoin reaches $100,000, $200,000, $300,000, etc.

I know some of these perma bears will probably buy Bitcoin when the price is going too low. Others may just feel happy that the price falls and will be proud of their being bears but the rest might just want the price to fall so that they could enter. What they miss is that the cheap days are now and today. If they miss the train today, they will forever be bitter at not buying.

I think Bitcoin is just testing a new support level but luckily it stopped at $47k then coming back again at $55k, I guess more people are onto fomo rather than believing in their fud news. Sooner or later we'll be seeing that $100k they've been waiting for it's just a matter of time before we gonna see it.

For now just keep holding your Bitcoin and avoid looking at those stressful fud news everywhere because we all know what they wanted they just want you to dump your coins so that they can buy it out to you during dip.

Just prepare either way. As no one can exactly tell where bitcoin is going, you have to make your plans depending on your own financial status. You can't depend from others because they have their own plans as well. If you believe that btc will go up, accumulate more but if not, you can cash out anytime. The steps are simple but the execution is hard. But based from the recent drop, btc bounces back again and we are now seeing the 55k level again. The support this time is really strong.

Yeah, I am having similar speculation as well. Right now bitcoin market is trading very strong and it is going to have new ATH probably within this week as it seems some institutions keep buying right now. When we are heading toward a new ATH, OP is talking about getting back to below $40k, it seems fairly impossible one with respect to current market scenario.

I'm expecting $100k to happen by coming May month hence the final ATH would be more than $350k as per some speculation. Because we are having continuous support from institutions and corporate which is more than enough to pump bitcoin to some unbelievable levels.
I do agree with this 100% and it is totally understandable. We are talking about something that would be super difficult to do. We have moved from around 47k levels to 54k+ levels already, which means we are in an upwards trend right now and people are talking about under 40k prices, that looks like not possible right now. I am not saying that we will never see under 40k but isn't it obvious that we might see another ATH with this increase instead of a drop?

I mean last time we went from 58k to 43k and people all called for a huge drop again during that period, everyone was selling and running away, then big companies came in and bought so much that price reached 64k dollars. Now we are talking about a drop from 64k to 47k which means it is about the same, so the increase could be as much as 70k+ very soon, this is why it looks like we are doing fine instead of dropping.
