Bitcoin went from $1 to $10,000 in 9 years. Never been heard of.. and Bitcoin got $350,000,000,000.  Roll Eyes

HYIP cartel is most likely using Bitcoin for their 200% profit per month HYIP programs/ponzis.

Will FBI investigation come to Bitcoin ??

Which is my question, how does the FBI check Bitcoin? while Bitcoin security is decentralized!
Who will be the suspect when the FBI can investigate Bitcoin? while Bitcoin is just a tool.
Is not the investigated user?

The FBI will find it hard to be able to investigate Bitcoin, as we know bitcoin is just an investment tool that can be used by someone. so it would be very wrong, if the FBI investigates Bitcoin.

Well of course they will investigate Bitcoin and sue it under the full extent of the law.
They'll put Bitcoin in jail for sure and everyone will be sued for being complicit for its crimes.

I've personally been contacted by the FBI already and they've assigned me a personal agent, just as Gentlemand mentioned.

I thought this sort of stuff was common knowledge?

Now off to my meeting with the HYIP cartel, they're offering free drinks and snacks I've heard.

The bitcoin has a FBI INVESTIGATION so that it can give security and approved by legal so that someday the government and other companies would invest and trust this industry to have a better economy and progress.

For me, there is no reason for them to investigate. Its just online job, and no illegal substance or trading here.
there is a reason ever wonder why most of the countries ban bitcoin because criminals take advantage of its anonymity and bitcoin is widely used on dark web so yeah lots of criminal is using it.

Who then investigates the legalized fraud called Quantitative Easing?
Bitcoin price increase is compatible with nature. It breaks no rule. Example of  this: You find a "piece" of Gold and decide to sell it. People value Gold because it is  scares, attractive/shiny, unique, and last long... These features would make your buyers to want to pay good price for the Gold and price goes up.

With Central Bank's Quantitative Easing:    You bring in a magician to magically multiply the piece of Gold into a thousand pieces. This is not possible in real World. Except maybe in the spirit realm.

So which deserves investigating?

I think it will if it holders continuously use it in illegal purposes, though there are only some holders doing it but it will still affect everyone. But it is indeed good for NBI to check it so they will know what Bitcoin really is and holders are just abusing it and not Bitcoin perse.

Bitcoin is always under investigation because bitcoin is use to not good activities that's the reason why others doing investigation against bitcoin. But bitcoin is legit the people who are using it to bad is the suspek on this and need to investigate. Even they investigate bitcoin they will see the truth bitcoin is legit.

It is foreseeable that with the development of the bitcoin community, more people will use bitcoin, then FBI will shift their attention to the digital currency.

well i was ones a victim of liberty reserve ban in some years back by the fbi and ever since then many digital currency payment platform such as perfect money have migrated from .com domain to other custom domain. you may some correct about some HYIP cartel using bitcoin for profit but all these are just hoax and until we all see a tangle information about this, we shall keep witnessing many more hoax. if FBI is going to investigate this who are they going to investigate?. Satoshi Nakamoto?. the worst that can happen is for them to ban all bitcoin related domian on .com and that will be all

Maybe the FBI investigates bitcoin to prevent it from misused. We know that bitcoin is decentralized and transactions made unknown identity. So, there are possibilities that it could use for money laundering and any illegal transactions. This is just for the safety of everyone.

I totally agree on this, If they do that with fiat what could be wrong to make it with digital currency as well. We are safe from being followed by the FBI as an average Joe

FBI or other government institutional  already investigate Bitcoin from few years ago :
  • They called few Bitcoin developers in 2010
  • Blockchain analyzer such as https://www.chainalysis.com/ already used by exchanges and government
  • There are speculation that government already know Satoshi identity even though they don't deny/confirm anything

It is even possible that they use Blockchain analyzer service to track people whose address tied to exchange's or their account (such as bitcointalk.org account).
If users really care about their privacy, they should use anonymous/fungible cryptocurrency, use secure connection and maintain their habit.

Can't get the point why somebody should "investigate" that. Where did you get this from?

It does not matter whether it is investigated by fbia or nsa because it is not a company or something backed by the entity, but it is said that its creator has been determined by nsa but he is not a threat for usa  Roll Eyes

Bitcoin is not going anywhere bruh Cool But the people who make money illegally are !! Grin As long as you stay clear , you are good to go with your BTC.
Over the years, the cyber crimes have increased and particularly those involving BTC have definitely increased because of the anonymity BTC provides over any other payment method. So it's obvious that the FBI have an eye over these transactions but I am quite sure that they are behind the criminals involved with it and not the genine people who work hard to earn money through BTC. So just chill and spread the BTC love.

Lmao. How do they even begin investigating Bitcoin itself? It doesn't set the prices, which is what you assume will be the reason to bring about an investigation. It's just code that people use in the most basic sense.

It doesn't matter what HYIP scammers use because they all collapse in the end. Not even Bitcoin can fund them enough.

The 130 cases are probably about deep web activities or about some big fishes irl. Nothing bad about this. If they do it with fiat what could be wrong to make it with digital currencies as well. We are safe from getting monitored by the FBI as an average Joe.
I can see that privacy-centric cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin mixers have a bright future Cheesy

It begins with "130 fringe deep web cases" and it ends up in efforts to control every transaction. Remember that Jeff Garzik is working in bloq, a technology to try to monitor the blockchain and track everything.

Localbitcoins is already not safe to use. You can have bad luck and be trying to get 100 bucks in cash and you end up arrested by some cop. The bastards want to put everyone in jail, even us poor people trying to save up some money and get some extra money in cash to meet monthly expenses. It is a lottery. I am too paranoid to move Bitcoin at this point out of the crypto system, they can label you a criminal if they want even if you are innocent.
