We are working on an ambitious project to seamlessly move value from main Bitcoin blockchain and its forks to a futuristic infinitely scalable decentralized network using drivechains proposed by Paul Sztorc ( http://www.truthcoin.info/blog/drivechain )

We are working on our DexOS platform for building DEXs powered by a realtime unforkable blockchain capable of performing 2 million plus tps. And we will be launching a decentralized sister platform for writing, testing and deployment of secure smart contracts to be written in an interpolation of popular Python language codenamed PyLegal. Air drops of Pycoin tokens will be accessible to those who register with us at Pycoin  or Cohomology Labs websites.
You may visit us at http://cohomologylabs.tech and http://www.pycoin.io

I don't think so , I think Bitcoin is a virtual asset whereas gold is a physical asset . But there is a similar thing they have volatile value depending on the availability and the usage in the market.

Paper money already replaced gold in terms of currency and now bitcoin is about to replace the paper money for good.

Never, the bitcoin will replace the gold. Gold has value in people's eyes for hundreds of thousands years and around the world. And golden as a cultural value in countries like India, or China => wedding, celebrations etc
Gold is tangible and you can touch it. But one day, when bitcoin will be more stable and when people will be ready, bitcoin will replace fiat. I don’t think i will be alive to see that.

This is impossible, throughout the world we all know gold to be a valuable metal, and to those who knows bitcoin, its a digital gold or digital currency, something you can not see or touch, yet valuable. Bitcoin will definitely grow 10 times better than gold. So bitcoin is more practical and investors prefers to buy bitcoin than to buy gold.  Smiley  Wink

it might replace gold but that's up for debate because unlike cryptocurrencies such as bitcoins, gold is tangible, if it was then inferred that bitcoin was more convenient and more secure than gold-based currency or even gold. they might consider replacing it
No, there is nothing that can replace gold. Gold is beautiful metal that many people are love it. People are loves bitcoin as well but gold can't be virtual and bitcoin can't be real. Bitcoin and gold will exist together. Gold is not only become medium of exchange but also materials electronic component. People always need gold. Fast world wide transactions is the biggest advantage of bitcoin which very useful for this century.
Bitcoin and Gold are 2 different individuals. We can compare them to each other. One is chose to be invested. One is mostly chose to be a jewelry. However,People will choose Bitcoin than gold. In the past, Gold is seen like something luxury and people usually don't care about Gold because they can buy it, only by the rich. When Bitcoin appear with a perfect price, people start investing it nonstop because they know that Bitcoin will increase more than that.

Bitcoin doesn't have such feature and target. Gold is a financial and legit asset. Bitcoin is like and adventure when compared with gold. But the profit in bitcoin is much greter than gold.

Do not replace for the simple reason that gold people trust more and yes the number of these people is also greater

Btc is btc precious metals are precious metals. Someone even wrote oh they are both mined so they are the same thing. Spend a day with me mining gold and then tell me it's the same thing, utterly redicoulous

Bitcoin could probably replace gold in terms of investment but not in any other means.

Bitcoin is the 'digital' gold, but it will never replace it.

Gold is physical and has all sorts of uses like in phones and dentistry.

I think bitcoin will not replace gold because in some countries gold is still a very valuable item and has a high value, there are still many people who choose gold as their best investment because the price is more stable

indeed today people are still using gold, but in the future people use bitcoin to store wealth.
investing in bitcoin is very profitable because bitcoin prices continue to increase every year.
bitcoin will continue to grow annually so bitcoin will become the global currency in the future.

I just think, Bitcoin and gold have the same selling points and advantages, the difference in bitcoin in digital form and gold is more physical, when viewed from both investment forms mutually beneficial, and everyone has a different investment perspective. For now people see bitcoin as a very good mine to invest and gold is still in demand

I do not think bitcoin will replace gold. Bitcoin is electronic money, it's future is uncertain. Many countries do not accept bitcoin. It will end whenever. Gold is a precious metal, it appears for a long time and it can not disappear.

Bitcoin and gold are different things. bitcoin is only a digital currency and gold is a metal with a high price. bitcoin can manage things off the internet in buying gold but gold have different purposes. i believe gold have many purposes in the world. bitcoin can have the same price with gold but it might take a lot of time for it to happen. since gold is much more better than bitcoin i think.

This is what everyone is afraid of, the presence of bitcoin has become its own phenomenon, many people are worried that increasing users will make bitcoin continue to beat all investments including gold.
