$500k is too much for a single bitcoin. It may reach that amount if bitcoin will be used by all the people around the world but in three years? I don't think it will jump that high from $15k even $50k will be good if bitcoin reaches that price in three years.
We went from 1k to 24k in just over 11 months. That's x24. From the current 15~16k it's only about another 30x, which in 3 years could easily be doable if nothing major happens.
guys, when you call such figures for Bitcoin, then I have goose bumps. I do not know what to do with my coins to date or sell or wait further.
That depends on your personal situation, your personal life goals, and the amount of risk you are willing to take. Get a sheet of paper and calculate some scenarios through to get a feeling for what is possible. And then decide from there.
Bitcoin prices are just matter of time and all this will be possible only of whole world will start using this coin and sooner or late bitcoin will be at this price but it required a lot of thing like acceptance to the every region ad investor from all across the world and huge no of people hold and buy at the same time and if this happen yesterday 500k will come tomorrow so wait and till then buy and sell at lower profits.

There is opportunity  for bitcoin toward $500K if based on previous history. However, 3 years is too fast. And if that happens, I think banks or governments need to consider existence of bitcoin as another option than currency that has been in circulation.
I don't think anybody will really give a shit about banks once Bitcoin is that large. Unless they offer really good conditions.

I think this is nothing but a shot in the sky, noone can predict something when its so many variables in the equation, this is just a poking the finger in a number, nothing more.

Demand for Bitcoin is increasing due to which a tremendous growth has been in it's price .It is still rising at a very fast rate and it surely has a bright future but $500K is way too much.So I don't think that it is possible for Bitcoin to reach $500K in three years .

So guys, what do you think about McAfee prediction - will Bitcoin jump to $500 000 till August 2020?
Its unpredictable. We just now reached two degits  thousands. We have only three more years. Is there a possibility for bitcoin reach $485K ? If this happens, only the bitcoin holders and investors would be the richesr man other than the top business men in the market. This growth will affect all other altcoins as well. By 2020, like bitcoin now, we would be having many altcoins reach $10K plus.

I think this value is little bit over exaggerated for now, 3 years is a long time. One cannot speculate clearly  that what will happen in the coming days before the New Year, then how can be so sure about $500k in 3 years. I totally agree with the potential of Bitcoin and its rising demand but the opening months of next year can also push down the Bitcoin making it more stable. Hence, there is long time fore 3 years and one should speculate for the coming 6 months rather going for so long.

After this week, or even this past month and a half ($6k to $19k peak!) no one should ever underestimate Bitcoin!

But yeah $500k is a bit crazy for three years. $500k requires mass adoption on the global scale. While that might happen in a decade, it seems very unlikely in just three years.

Before that happens we need LN to go live and actual work and be simple and safe to use. We need this fear of Bitcoin being banned by governments to go away, and the best way for that to happen is governments enact (fair) regulations around Bitcoin which legitimizes it and takes away the fear of bans. We need the average person to stop seeing the word bubble and tulips and other crap like that every time they read an article about Bitcoin, because that scares plenty of people away. We need safer exchanges so the people that actually set the price (by trading on exchanges) don't fear hacks. We need Amazon to start accepting Bitcoin. We need Bitcoin to be an easy and accepted way to pay for things in person at brick and mortar stores as well.

Some of those things should happen in the next three years. And I do think the price will definitely be over $100k in three years, but $500k seems like a stretch.

Some of these things can certainly happen and probably will but it will probably take all of them happening for bitcoin to have a shot at 500k. I agree we will probably see it over 100k but again that 500k is probably a stretch, that said, one big win for bitcoin could shoot the price up by 5x its value or more in the space of a few days, we just can't know for sure.

Nope but it still depends, in my opinion in three years bitcoin will rise in $30000 only well it is only my point of view. However, $500k is a bit too much on the given period of time. So my point is bitcoin will spike at $30k in three years.
Bitcoin always do things beyond expectation. For 3 years? This is completely possible, we wait and see. Everything is in progress.
If it went x8 two more years in a row we'd already break the $500k per BTC. Doubt it'll happen so quickly, but it's definitely not impossible considering the snowball effect.

$500k is way too much for next three years. But checking the history, no one expected that bitcoin will reached the $7000 value this year right? Who knows? Lets just wait and see.
Yeah 500k is bit much value to be achieved in three years but in 5 to 6 year this may be possible because still there are a lot of region who are not aware of the blessing of this coin and many people on planet are still wanting to get knowledge about btc to start earning in this coin more advertisement is required to get the maximum investor concern into btc and then this price will be easy to get, it is possible to achieve.
its x60, many altcoins did it this year, maybe we can do it in 3 years (x6x5x2 or similar)
Altcoins that went x60 usually had very low market caps, which made it much easier for them to catch up to the top 100 cryptos and thus increase by so much in a short time.

I'm optimistic when it comes to the bitcoin speculation I don't want to hurt myself and I don't want to expect too much too. But you have the point, most of us should always prepare for the worst but if I'm not expecting anything like that on this time. We've been through a lot of increases and even $1,000 before does fit us already and now we are going through a lot of dips and as well as pumps.
