In case of a global war the importance of digital money will be non-existent. Necessities like potable water, clothes, food and medicaments will be way more valuable than ordinary money because the economic system will have changed to the degree of everyone for himself and anarchy will be widespread.
If world war 3 breaks out by some chance, bitcoins survival will depend on how the war is going to effect the internet and the people using the internet.
If there is no internet if bitcoin is still existing it won't be very useful IMO.
I don't think there is a III world war coming soon IMO or at least with the current state of the world, Bitcoin would be unusable if the internet is unusable IMO, it would lose most of it's value overall.
Many currencies don't survive war because the nations backing them were destroyed. Bitcoin is part of internet, I am not sure how we can destroy internet without destroying most of the current civilizations.

If the WW3 happens, I doubt that anyone will survive. Or at least it would take ages for people to recover form it. And who knows what would then happen with Bitcoin

World war 3 is very excruciating moreover with you say that technology and weapons of military more modern than previous world war. It will so hard to bitcoin can survive world war 3.

I think no one will survive a world war 3. If that happens, it will be the end of the world as we know it, obviously, bitcoin as well. World war 3 is not like the previous war. This war we will be talking about nuclear wars and weapons of mass destruction. It will be a miracle if we survive a nuclear holocaust.

Well i thinks .it also depends on the wallets that we put our bitcoins.. Then first we will forgotten this bitcoins ,we will think the safety of our family members .we can bring some bitcoins also that internet connection will lost and damaged .so i think we will do that before the war starts .

War is part of life, and it comes in cycles. You will see when there is a huge explosion in global population or economic problems, people tend to fight more over scares resources like water or energy. In the end it comes down to survival, and whomever is the strongest or the most technically evolved will prosper and they will survive. We are getting close to a situation where we have to compete for water and/or energy because of global warming and debt spiraling out of control. The decentralized nature of Bitcoin, will keep it going after a world war, because not all countries will be affected. Some countries are always neutral to war, and the nodes running there, will sustain the network.

first we should pray to god that there won't come any other world war. every one should follow the rules of feace. but if by chance world war 3 is begin then if internet will dead. then I don't think so bitcoin can servive without internet. because bitcoin is a digital currency and 100% depended on internet. if there will no internet then no bitcoin
Slim chance of surviving we may have to start again with a new coin if war happens. The only important thing we'd look after during war is the food like what the above users said. we won't be busy exchanging digital goods during war but missiles.
Certainly I am not into any war,I wish there should be always no war. I just want to know how resilient bitcoin is. And if Bitcoin can be should be improved any way.
My feeling even there is a world wide war, there will be one or two nations keep neutral and serve as bitcoin backbone, running some nodes and I am sure Bitcoin will be as good physical gold.
