actually i don't know if it will have an affect on the price of bitcoin. if it will affect the price of bitcoin im hoping it will go rise than depleting the price of the bitcoin itself hahaha. if the users of bitcoin all cashout well that's the reason the price of bitcoin will drop out . we all know the more investorrs the more bitcoin will grow.

Black Fridays won't make much impact upon the price of bitcoin. Possibly bitcoin as a potential currency gets more circulation among the users in US as well in the darknet marketplaces. Minor Price variation happens, but it sustain long.

Weren't this a topic last year and the year before that?  Black Friday doesn't have any sorta effect on bitcoin, not now not ever.  There ain't no reason to.  People isn't buying stuff with bitcoin so there isn't a reason why the price should be fluctuatin'.  Is there?

As of now, there are no significant sign of effects of black friday. Its very stable. There are no big crash or rise of price. Right now its $730+ a piece. Nothing really happen. Maybe there are some promos big sales. But i dont see changes. I thought theres a possitive effects of black friday.

I remember lat year we had sn initiative called Bitcoin Black Friday or something like that.
I don't remember much but it was service created to gather every bitcoin retailer willing to participate in Black Friday Sales.
Does anyone know if that project was successful? I guess they had no luck, because we don't see anything like it this year.

I am not sure if it was a real success, but I do remember that there was a Bitcoin black friday scam site operating where a certain amount of coins were stolen. Probably a reason of why it's not being advertised as much as was the case last year. If you do a bit research on certain Bitcoin related black friday deals, then it's a bit disappointing to be honest. No outstanding deals at all. But if I had to choose a certain site to make some black friday purchases, then I would go for purse.io as they offer a 15% discount currently.

From $740 USD yesterday November 24 down to $735 USD November 25 and now is Black Friday in the US so I guess this confirms that there is no effect in BTC price if its Black Friday. If there is a popular product/item that will be launched on a Black Friday and can be bought exclusively using Bitcoins then there will be people buying Bitcoins and maybe that will be enough reason for BTC price to increase.

Obviously there is no correlation.

I don't think so. People go crazy about Black Friday trying to buy as much stuff as possible but I can't see how could that influence the Bitcoin price. Maybe if many, many people would exchange their Bitcoins for fiat to do the shopping. Or maybe massive buying with Bitcoins but there are no so many stores that accept Bitcoins.

i think it will give some effect for the bitcoin price but i don't will it be down or up, but if i take a look on november until december last year, the price of bitcoin is getting down for first but after january, the price is going up. so for this year, i am not sure what will happen with Black Friday, Christmas, and new year. i hope that the price will be increase.

i do understand that some people always be trying to connecting bitcoin price movement with the things that will happening such as Black Friday or something else but if those things only happened at particular countries i'm pretty sure that wouldn't have any good effect or bad effect for bitcoin and i don't think American people will shopping on Black Friday using bitcoin and seems they really do not care about that and the recent proof now that there is no big pump or big dump today

No effect at all, I guess. The correction is due any time soon anyway, but I wouldn't attribute it to black Friday. Simply the price went to high without any fundamentals.
We also happen to paint a double top formation on the chart for this year. What is even more scary is the lower second peak, which makes it very bearish in the interpretation.

I do not think it will have any effect on the price of bitcoin because buyers will spend using their credit cards or fiat money not bitcoin. A whale wanting to pump bitcoin so he could dump it at a higher price is the only reason I think that will cause the price to move.

I totally agree with you as traders selling some coins won't have any effect on the price.

I was wondering about it too, blackfriday, xmas and dates like that...

On one side people trade altcoins for bitcoins to buy goods, on the other side they trade bitcoins for fiat to buy goods, so, where the price will go?

If there is a massive conversion of bitcoin to fiat money, well the price will definitely go down.  Unless there is an equivalent buy demmand to those sells then we can notice no change in price at all.  I see a drop in altcoin price and at the same time a drop in bitcoin price due to the massive selling of bitcoin.

Black Friday doesn't have something to do for the fluctuation of bitcoins price. But still I can see that it can contribute to the price of bitcoin if:

Unless most of those people who will go shopping will use bitcoin as means of payment, then I don't think it will really push the price. Most of the shoppers use credit and debit cards to shop because of the quick transactions. If even a few of the merchants that will participate in the sale would accept bitcoin as payment, we are not sure if the shoppers would even consider paying with it, especially the ones who are not too familiar with bitcoin.

This is the possible way for Black Friday to have some effect for the bitcoins price.
