Surely it will achieve and idk why it still sounds like an impossible achievement for some people. In 2017 when some would say that bitcoin may reach 10K and 20K, majority of people would call them crazy, etc. Right now, the scenario is going the way it was going back in 2017, this even strongly strengthens the chance of getting our wished new all-time high. 100K is a psychological level, bitcoin is 57K right now, after so many resistance and other damaging factors, it quickly and strongly regained very high price.
Crypto is a space where everything is possible and impossible at the same time but I strongly believe that we will reach 100K, there is just strong psychological background for that from holders but after reaching the 100K, it may go up to 130K and then fall or it even fall after 100K, we will have a serious crash after reaching new ATH.

Because most of my friends believe that BTC reached 100,000 US dollars in December, so I want to discuss whether this is true Grin
currently bitcoin price is $57k (up 17% in the last week)
if in the next few weeks we don't hear of any new fud then it is very likely that we will see bitcoin at a price of $100k

this year is coming to an end (only about 75+ days) if you have cash today then buy BTC immediately.. Do not be late

Because most of my friends believe that BTC reached 100,000 US dollars in December, so I want to discuss whether this is true Grin
If the current bullish runs is sustained with intense volatility and momentum the price will breach the last ATH at $64K and attain another ATH before reaching $100K before the end of the year, with almost 81 days to the end of the year the price of bitcoin attaining that price mark is very feasible and I believed there isn't any bearish sentiment again this year with all speculations and predictions all directing towards $100K, within a week the price can move up well $10K thus bearing any or provided that no negative fundamentals news again this year.
It won't be easy but the big bullish hope will continue at the end of the year but we don't think it's easy and of course there will be big bears waiting after reaching ATH let alone going to new ATH.
I want to see how bitcoin moves at the moment and continue to analyze how with the near future in December of course it will appear a new sentiment so I can't decide in this speculation it will tend to be more restrained before 100k in December.

Your friends are not the only ones, the vast majority of us who hold Bitcoin believe it. All predictive models point to a low of that price for this cycle. The question is what would happen if that prediction does not come true, and my understanding is that the predictive models would then have to be rethought.

Yes,,, it would be naive to think people hodling BTC do not think of that as the nearest target to reach. All models say that and all worthy analysis also suggests this is possible. But remember, we are only looking at the models and analysis that fit into our Bitcoin world view.

I am sure there are many models out there but because they are not friendly to BTC,,, we do not see them easily Smiley

as the market price rises to $56k many people are assuming that bitcoin will break the $100k price by the end of december. but I see there are still some people who are hesitant and some are already convinced that the market price will break through $100k by the end of this December.

This must be a serious argument between you and your friends if you will open an account and making the enquiry as first post.  Grin

As on your prediction, there are possibilities but it is not a guarantee that the price will go to $100k. It can break the $64k ATH before December but no sure prediction on exact price accurate. The support of $50k has been broken last week and we are looking at another price of $60k to be broken maybe this month and that may be the journey to break ATH.

I don't think it will reach $100K by December. There are way too many people that will be taking profit at $100K or even $99K or so. It will be a very tough resistance to crack and will take a few tries.

Profits are taken all the way up, although people will be increasingly tempted to do so as the price increases towards $100k. One only has to ask how much BTC is currently in the hands of small investors, and how many of those locked up for a longer period are in the wallets of institutional investors. I think the rules of the game are changing more and more, so even though I may be wrong, this is no longer a game in which the same players from 2013 or 2017 participate.

When I just see all these headlines "Will BTC reach $100,000 in December?", I wonder if anyone is thinking about anything other than how it would be ideal to sell at that price, and then buy again when the price is dropped by 50% or more...

$100K by December is a fairly bearish prediction in my opinion.  I think we'll see a break to an all time high and with enough momentum perhaps touch $100K by El Dia De Los Muertos.  I'll go ahead and say if we don't hit $100K by December, everyone will be shocked and it could set off a panic.  Personally, I think by mid-December we'll be closer to $200K than $100K, but I tend to be more bullish than most, because I've been here longer than most and seen this before, multiple times...

It's true that many expects the price get over 100k.
Whether this will actually happen in December 2021, nobody can tell for sure.

All these over-bullishness from the masses is actually making me think twice if we're actually going to have a full-fledged bull market this Q4. The excess number of short-term moonboys is mostly a bad sign in my opinion.

The number of dreamers increases hugely in bull market. There may be some also feeding "public" expectations with declarations about 100k, 250k or even 1M prices.
The chances for a new bubble are pretty much real and then 2022 may be both great and awful, depending on when you bought and when you sold.
I am not convinced we'll have a nice and steady bull run without a bubble - whether this year or later. But future will tell.

They are going to get REKT.

I would be happy to take my money if the price rocket up again to $135K. Something significant must happen that will trigger this event.

But with 2 months left for this year, I doubt this will happen because if you look at the chart today, the price had been this high since the beginning of this year. Investors are speculating when it will test $30K again just like the last time it dips to retest that supports level again.

Don't underestimate FOMO, there is still taproot in November. For sure this is one of the most anticipated event this year. And this could trigger another set of new investors who doesn't want to miss the boat and could be joining right now and November. And who knows, historically, December is a good month as we have short spurts of super fast bull run that you trigger that $100k or more speculation.

There's no possible way to determine whether a prediction can come true or not lmao, it's called a prediction for a reason. I myself believe it, though I'd reckon it wouldn't actually stay there even if it actually did. The market would be rather feeble by then since Bitcoin reaching $100k for the first time would be filled with countless hype and with no real foundation, just because of the number itself. Honestly, I'd stay away from the market if it does reach that point since it will bottom out to maybe $70k or so depending on where the hype first started.

It will be a very tough resistance to crack and will take a few tries. I think if we breach the old ATH then we will quickly go higher and higher, however the top might be like $78K before it drops back down. You need to realise that if too many people think that "Since ATH broke, $100K is next" then obviously the opposite will happen.

This is what concerns me. Too many people are getting very bullish and there are celebrities pumping NFTS and scam altcoins all over Twitter. Once ATH breaks all hell is going to break lose and people will be fomo in like crazy, however it doesn't mean that $100K is going to be broken by December. Keep in mind many people who bought at $20K will probably want to take profit somewhere around $80K since they are worried how it might lose 50% of its value again when it touched $64K and went down to $29K.

If it reaches $100,000 by the end of the year, I'm optimistic it will be achieved and currently the bitcoin price at $56,500 is close to yesterday's ATH and if this month can exceed yesterday's ATH then that achievement will materialize.
Even though the bitcoin price will hit $100,000 by the end of this year, that doesn't mean my goal is to end my holdings, and if it does, I consider it a good start for the future that the bitcoin price will continue to climb even higher and I will continue to gradually increase my holdings. Kiss

$100k will be the start of the next big bubble just like how $5k was the start of the big bubble in 2017. The target I've been speculating is still the same as it was a year ago and is something above $400k.

Keep in mind that a lot of things can change very quickly, specially when a round big number such as "$100k" is reached. When you also consider the poor performance of other markets you can see how a huge amount of money can easily come to bitcoin market helping the super fast rise.

It is hard to predict, but if the bitcoin price is still bullish from this month until December, it will be possible to reach $100,000 in December or before December. But if the price moves like this and before this, I think it is not easy to back to the last ATH, so it is even more difficult to reach $100,000 in December. Maybe that $100,000 will be reached in the next year in Q1. Many speculations say that bitcoin will back to $64k this month or next month, but we do not know for sure and are only waiting for more to see if that will really happen.

Why not follow https://twitter.com/100trillionUSD?

The guy created a prediction model called S2F (Stock to Flow), and is pointing to the direction of $100k++ this year.

So let me quote him:

Quote
Aug>47K, Sep>43K, Oct>63K, Nov>98K, Dec>135K

So it's pretty much accurate, however, we all know that prediction is just prediction, so no one can really tell if you are going to hit 6 digits this December or not.

I would be happy to take my money if the price rocket up again to $135K. Something significant must happen that will trigger this event.

Just refer to this thread and you'll find your answers >>.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/btc-100k-prediction-by-eoy-5360705

there are actually several threads about this 100k speculation for Bitcoin this 2021 alone but not bother to ask what will follow if this happens soon.

but just invest the amount that can afford to keep hold thats it.
