The actual value of bitcoin in my perception is around 300 - 350 USD.
The actual value of bitcoin is 30 000$ per bitcoin, that's the ACTUAL value. that's why I'm not selling.
why 30k and not let's say... 10k? there is a particular reason behind this? or maybe this si just your target...
If bitcoin was the only cryptocurrency in the world without any competition and it solved the TPS problem then 1 bitcoin would cost 1 000 000$. I think Satoshi agrees because he created 8 decimal places so that 1 satoshi could be representing 1 cent. Instead of whole bitcoins, we would start using the smallest divisible units and have them representing values that we are used to in our everyday life. 149 satoshis = 0.00000149 bitcoins = 1.49$ . Aside from that, I've seen speculations that if all the remittance in the world is done with bitcoin it would have to cost a million dollars each.
However, since bitcoin faces competition it becomes obvious that it will lose a good proportion of its potential value to the competitors. Bitcoin's market cap currently takes ~90% of all the market caps of all cryptocurrencies. From 100% to 90% in 8 years. When will bitcoin mature? Perhaps after next 8-16 years. During this time there will be a lot of new competitors so we might get down to 50%. Now we have 1 bitcoin costing 500 000$ in ~2025. With past 10 years dollar has lost 20% of its value. Things don't look good for dollar or any of the fiat currencies, they will lose even more value. By holding bitcoin you are not getting rich because bitcoins are generating new wealth, you are getting rich because everyone else is getting poor. If we extrapolate the inflation conservatively we would get something like ~50% in the next 10 years (for the sake of simple math). This means currently 1 bitcoin should be worth 250 000$ with a lot of assumptions. Because assumption is the mother of all fuckups, we make one last assumption --- 10% of what I just described will actually get to manifest. 10% of 250 000$ is 25 000$.
So, being as pessimistic as possible while still trying to remain rational gives us 25k bitcoins. Because markets tend to overreact, it is safe to say that those prices would be achieved with an enormous bubble between 25k and 50k. I remember winkleswiis predicting that 1 bitcoin should cost 40 000$. So, many people have come to the similar numbers. In my dreams, the highest clearly visible price per bitcoin that I have seen is 17 000$ which is aligned with other predictions by its order of magnitude. Speculators set the price, right? Right now I'm speculating so I'm setting the price (in a way it's sorcery
).
