The price is near $400 and during the December it can reach $500 if this trending is continuing but it's possible.

I agree that $1,000 is very unlikely by the end of December, probably less than 2% chance - but $500 is very doable and may even have greater than 20% odds.

Regarding christmas spending possibilities affecting btc price, I would not place too much weight into those kinds of consumption inclinations contributing to the quantity or quality of BTC's price movements, whether short or long term.

We are getting closer to $400 but with 3 weeks to go till New Year there is no reason for another round of pump and dump except for buying Christmas Gifts on or before the 25th but most already made their shopping last Thanks Giving Day

Get real, i'd bet $1000 on bitcoin not reaching $1000 in december.

Timing and even degree of movement remains quite difficult to predict, exactly.

Accordingly, Bitcoin remains quite a curious phenomenon.  Even though, in some schools of thought, Bitcoin's price may seem high at the moment, the price also seems to have quite a bit of more upside momentum potential, even in the short term.


Nonetheless, it may be somewhat healthy for the whole Bitcoin space if the price were to float between $380 and $420 for a few months.

Given recent price movement, at the moment, I believe that the Bitcoin space is not really capable of $380 to $420 stability at this stage of its life, and we are likely to witness considerable continued BTC price volatility during the next, approximate 2 months outside of the $380 to $420 price range (or any other approximately 10% price range).  There simply remains uncertainty and disagreement regarding the current price, which translates as an ongoing price battle.

 I'm fairly confident that near term price volatility could be either upwards or downwards.

Personally, upwards would be nice, but I think if btc price breaks passed $440-ish within the next few weeks then that price movement becomse a kind of green light signal and accordingly, $600 seems nearly inevitable to follow soon thereafter or even a higher subsequent BTC price point.

On the other hand it seems as if such $600 price arena would not be sustainable in the short term. 


In the end, my sense of potential upward price dynamics, as outlined above could become inaccurate because it's really difficult to predict exactly where BTC's price is going and/or what some of the bigger financial players are doing (or attempting to do) in the bitcoin space that can really interfere with any kind of real short term predictability - whether predicting upwards or downwards price movements.

I am thinking also that the price will be somewhere $500 - $700 or maximum double of the today price.

who all hope for Christmas that we will have nice present (price over 500 if some treads on forum here)

I have high hopes next year but $500 this year is somewhat not possible but who knows.

And the really fine here is if price will reached it's new floor and that is around 400. Its really good. Step by step floor to really build a much resistance. Yes we can reached $500 100% but possiblity of sustaining around that price is the questioned here. Many people set this $500 as their dump target thats why it fail to sustain last rally. Massive dumps occur starting from 5% price decrease because of just a little movement in price., >_<

anything over $400 is fine. if the price reaches $500 this month then it is a nice bonus for most people. 2016 will definitely be over $500, i even think we will reach $700 easy just before the block halving.

China is leading in many areas but maybe their total dominance is a temporary thing.  Still they are only going to want the price up like the rest of us.

It looks like it that bitcoin will go back to 500 dollar, but in december maybe it will or not.

The hashrate nearly doubled this year. It's just a matter of time before we see $500 again the comming months. China is leading in the mining industry, however, they are significantly behind with the amount of nodes, and that while Bitcoin is quite popular in China.

Yes, I agree! The positive pressure on the price is enormous lately as well and I don't see this ending! Very exciting times are in front of us!

Maybe you are wrong. Bitcoin is always a suprise it other day will go down and other day will just rise. So lets see if this december will reach 500 dollars.

Well I don't think we will reach $500 this month. It's not even at a solid $400 but we are close. Every time it touches $400 it goes back down. I'm glad that it went up above $350 and staying close to the $400. It's looking good to me.
