No way crypto is going to replace stock market, crypto and stock market are two different things.
They will coexist.
Now if you said replace the Forex, then I would have said maybe..
Yeah no way , but forex player and stock investor could move their fund to crypto in the future ,
Crypto nowadays still has lack of trust , common people even consider crypto currency as tons of scam scheme ,
It's indeed there's some bad people involve to take an opportunity scam other people behind crypto currency but mostly cryptocurrency is so legit ,
We just need more time to make it really happened.

Just curious as to your opinions?

If we can just represent every asset as an alt coin, why bother with the current market, make it all anonymous?

Is crypto the global financial market of the future?

Make it all anonymous? Really? I don’t think that it will happen so easily. Have you ever considered the fact how stock exchanges work. On very very legalised and centralised platform. It’s open to public funding with all the legal jurisdiction put forth with regulatory approval. Where as crypto currency that we seek is completely different and does not need any approval in the first place and it’s completely decentralised. I believe there crypto won’t be able to the global financial market but it will be just like another market.

Crypto could never take the place of stock market. Infast there was an attempt buy someone to open an bitcoin exchange next the the new york stock exchange few years back, but it did not work. I don't see this happening for atleast next 8 to 10 years minimum.

I agree with Anndrianno, it can be adopted and they will co exist. Don't get me wrong one could completely outweigh the other some day.

Yes, I think it will be in 10 years, unlikely before. There should be clear and strict rules about ICO and exchanges. There should be international standarts about this all before some kind of stock market comes to crypto...

Never, ever going to happen something like that. It not possible because companies currently traded in the stock market cannot possibly be transferred into electronic exchanges and even if they could they wouldn't because they would loose enormous amounts of money and reputation.

How is that possible Crypto replace the stock market, not possible because stock market have some regulations and norms to follow other side Crypto have no regulations.Stock market is shows how much any country economicaly strong. One possibility that the stock market will add bitcoin to trade on varoius exchanges sothat traders will use it like stocks,so bitcoin will not take over the stock market.

They will not because businesses are still in reality the best way to earn a lot of money and corporations has more advantage than single proprietorship and partnership so their stock market will be forever profitable and i believe that corporation will soon step in the game of cryptos. maybe trading cryptos will get more gain than stock market but not enough to defeat the stock market entirely.

Maybe yes maybe no, we can only see and nothing else. Today's, crypto become the biggest alternative payment after currency it self and maybe will over pass commodities value. But most country/ people still doesn't has trust with crypto, it will need more time to replace it in the stock market. I agree crypto is the digital global financial market of the future but how we handle that is another story. No need to think about crypto future, it will go natural. We only need to follow and take the right crypto as investment. Have a nice day.

I don’t really see any resemblance between the stock exchange and crypto exchange. Both of them are relying on different market needs and methodologies of investment. Just imagine stoc market, all the news, real investment into real world, international bindings, international exchanges from country to country and that all defines the ultimate fate of assets in there. The crypto exchange is is all about investors driving it in the first place. It’s just about how much volume is being traded as real fiat into it.

I am 100% sure it will not replace the Stock Market, both are different. Smiley

But my good investment advice: Invest in Stock Market in long term (10 years) and buy blue chip stocks monthly and don't trade them, just be consistent on buying stock every month for 10 years. for ex. $100/month for 10 years

$100 x 12 months = $1,200
$1200 x 10 years = $ 12,000

After 10 years your total investment is $12,000 and because you invested all of them in stock, and the stock goes x20 after 10 years, your total money will be ($12,000 x 20) is $240,000 + the dividend of each stock, some stock gives dividend monthly base on the number of stock you have on their company.

In traditional sense, may be not! But with this enormous development in crypto currency, one can safely predict that it won't be long when everything will be measure in crypto currency. Who need brokers? Spectre is working on brokerless transactions! Who need insurance? there are many insurance coin. etc....

It might. But it wont happen overnight. There will be huge regulatory changes before that happens and that will limit crypto. Don't forget how many invested interests are there in the stock market. They have money too.

I strongly agree with you it will takes time to make these changes in a regular time period. For example the stock market is very much saturated and very huge market. We can’t say that crypto currencies will replace the stock market because for this change you will stop the stock market for a short period of time which is impossible.

No how would this even be possible?
Should all companies convert their stocks into crypto or something?

I don't see why a public company couldn't or wouldn't use a smart contract to manage their public stock offering, but I'm sure someone has put more thought into the possibility than I have. Some crypto assets are legal "securities" correct?

You know, this is actually a really good question.  I was prepared to come in here and tell you no but the more I thought about it I determined that it is a possibility that these two worlds could merge, but probably not for the reason you think.

Currently, no cryptocurrency that I am aware of actually operates like stock.  Stocks represent an ownership interest in a company.  Whereas a coin or token represents an ownership interest in some entities form of currency.  It's entirely possible that instead of issuing stock certificates that companies could issue certificates on the blockchain, we'll call it 'Proof of Share'.  This would act similar to a cryptocurrency but embedded into the blockchain would be certificateholders registration information.  Dividends would be paid by taking a snapshot of the blockchain on the ex-dividend date.

An issue with putting stock certificates on the blockchain would be how to deal with hackers.  In my theoretical universe above there would be some kind of registration within the blockchain.  Perhaps something could be done with this to put safeguards in place that you wouldn't want in your cryptocurrencys.

I don't think the stock market is ready to crumble just yet. Crypto will have its rightful place along side it soon enough i feel but old habits die hard and the stock market has been to good to so many people.

I believe that the crypto market has the right to life, but it is necessary to throw out many unnecessary fraudsters from it

Indeed this is true, but at the end it has nothing to do with the stock market. The two are totally independent and should remain that way.

The stock market currently has its purpose and to change it would take many steps. Crypto is still young and needs its time to settle as a technology.
