If you were a Bitcoin enthusiast you wouldn't view Bitcoin like that so I guess it's different from everyone's perspective. I may know that some shit coins will fall as it is even in the past, but for Bitcoin? It stays stronger every bull market although some people didn't see it that way because probably they are after just for the profit but if look at it in a manner where Bitcoin is already an asset/currency and not just some kind of pump and dump coins, it will survive no matter what happens in the market.

If you say you've been here 9 years in the market, I think you've seen a lot of things like this and then everything is always back to normal. Is that true? So there is nothing for you to worry about the current situation, everything will always be repeated, the market will crash and then recover, grow stronger...will crash...grow...I see everything is still working very well, if you check the trading volume on coinmarketcap you will see that it is still very large and there is no decrease in trading volume.
Very true, as you said, there is nothing for us to worry about, because it has been more than a decade that we have entered crypto currency, so we already know about the journey of crypto currency and the crypto currency market, sometimes the market crashes then recovers, sometimes crypto prices down like rain, sometimes suddenly the price of crypto goes up and up, so I personally think crypto currency, especially bitcoin, will definitely survive in any situation, unless the apocalypse comes, I'm not sure crypto currency will survive.

Obviously crypto is going to survive. The amount of man hours that have been invested in the industry is staggering. Crypto may drop more in price, but this is normal in a budding industry. It is what squeezes out those looking for a quick buck and allows the builders and believers to amass more holdings before the inevitable future is realized. Will crypto make you rich overnight? Probably not. Will it change the world? Almost certainly.
Survival of cryptocurrency is assured. During this time period we've seen the existence of a good number of cryptocurrencies, but very few have lasted longer in the market. This is all about the trust it gained from the common people. As said, people should have the proper understanding about cryptocurrency only then it is possible to make use of it in the right way than making it an way to turn thyself rich overnight.

I actually see more positive things in crypto after many exchanges have collapsed due to mismanagement of user funds by exchange owners. because in the end there will be fewer people who cheat and what will survive is an honest managed exchange.

one of the positive impacts after the bankruptcy from FTX was the effort made by each exchange to be more transparent to its users. so that we as users can now see and monitor or oversee the flow of funds stored on the exchange. all exchanges have now endeavored to become more trustworthy exchanges. proof of asset reserves to be more transparent. Increasing security related to user funds is an important point in the progress itself.

but still, that doesn't mean we have to trust the exchange 100% by storing our assets there. no, we still shouldn't entrust our assets to the exchange. if it's our long-term savings asset, then keeping it in a personal wallet is better.
The problem is that they are like hydra, cut of one head two shall take its place. Which means while FTX could be gone right now, there could be two new ones who are growing that will turn out to be a scam later on.

We have seen plenty of exit scams and exchange problems all through the history of crypto, which means that there is a chance it may never end. I am not saying that it will never end for sure, maybe it will end but from the looks of it they have no intention of ending it at all. Which is why I believe that we shouldn't be really expecting this to slow down anytime soon. Maybe tomorrow there will be a whole another one, we may never know.

crypto is a scam, it's no better than the government fiat currency that has enslaved the world

Bitcoin is not a cryptocurrency? it is also part of the market but it is different from the rest. Bitcoin would survive even without altcoins, but without altcoins bitcoin would not be as popular as it is today. You should remember that 90% of the participants in this market are for profit, not for technology or privacy. If there was no crypto market then bitcoin would have no volatility then no one cares about it.

Bitcoin is not an altcoin but a cryptocurrency.  Both altcoin and Bitcoin is under the umbrella of cryptocurrency.  Probably barto123 is confused about an altcoin and cryptocurrency.  Though many altcoins are created scams, I still believe that a few of them are created with sincere intention of innovating the cryptocurrency industry.  These altcoins bring new knowledge and application on the table where Bitcoin is very slow to produce.  Altcoin seem a testing ground of cryptocurrency innovations.  So I believe no matter what happen in the market, Cryptocurrency will survive.  Cryptocurrency Industry is bigger than what we think.
That's the fairest comment I've ever seen, many people are too crazy about bitcoin and think all altcoins are scams and useless. That's ridiculous, Cryptocurrency market without altcoins, bitcoin would also be useless, a bitcoin can't make a market. We are here for profit so I will invest anywhere as long as it can give me profit. Bitcoin or altcoin is just a tool and how you use it is what matters most.
Both are under the category of cryptocurrency. Altcoins are simply alternative coins to Bitcoin, nothing more and nothing less. Most of the time are from small projects there are even "memecoins" nowadays but still, they are all the same. But scam acusations would be a different story. Scam coins are simply non paying projects, or if they took something from you and you get nothing from them and definitely, not something which caused you losses just because of the market price behavior wherein in the first place; everything is lacking considtency in this industry. These things are different. They are all just being generalize simply because they  are a part of this industry and we just cannot stop such thing; we can only lessen the victim by sharing our knowledge especially to new ones.

The crypto market is not going to zero but some shitcoins that have temporary run will not be able to recover after this dump and if you are holding them then it's dead end for your investment. But if we speak about bitcoin and some other top coins then you will soon see money flow in the market and prices rising for them once investor gain assurance and this whole FTX mess clean up and green charts will be up again.

It will survive 100% but only if by crypto you mean bitcoin. The whole industry may shrink by a lot but this can be treated like a cleansing event where only the strong survive, but those who do will gain even more by eating the weak. The money has to go somewhere, right? This means that some of the funds invested in dying projects and exchanges will go to the ones that prove to be legit. It will take some time but I believe the battlefield will clear out before 2024.

It only shows that earlier people in cryptos are much brave because they hold on despite the cryptos are still a new thing that time and they are not aware if what can come next. People in cryptos today must be ashamed of what they have acted knowing that cryptos are not a new thing anymore and it already gone through a lot of tough battles yet it is still there.

Crypto will continue to survive no matter what because there are always people who will have a solid faith on it and most of these people are the pioneer in crypto world. It's only one exchange that have collapsed but we still have plenty of them that are trusted. People should worry less.
And whether we like it or not, dump will come and make doubtful people sell their money while believers catch it. Until now, many people are still questioning the capability of Bitcoin, many were still thinking that drops are a sign of collapsing platform. I'm not sure how this mindset can be changed but surely, not all who are here investing in crypto have faith and a strong hand. Many individuals will lose their Bitcoin and regret it later.

This is how to test people's patience towards on their participation on crypto space and if they survive on worst condition of the market for sure they can last until it pump again. Those people doubt about it and leave will just regret later why they they easily afraid on certain situation and didn't pursue their participation in this space. Market normally dump and it's not only happening on crypto but also with forex so people need to understand about this and the only thing they need to develop is their patience so that they will not be greedy to hold for more years even if they are in profit already so that they can take advantage on glory days of crypto once it having a bull run.

the reality is:[/b]

it's a trojan horse on this ponzi of a financial system

Definitely, Bitcoin is a trojan horse on the Ponzi scheme of the financial system but the question would be, can it penetrate the financial system to make modification on the current centralized fiat system?  I don't think the government will allow it to dictate the flow of the financial industry but definitely, government will make use of it to profit and gain tax from different services that take advantage of Bitcoin opportunities.

Quote
it can't be stopped or truly regulated

Yes the bitcoin blockchain can't be stopped or regulated but centralized exchanges that are often the endpoint of Bitcoin when holders decided to use it to buy stuff are often regulated.  The lack of local businesses that directly accepts Bitcoin using the p2p method makes this government regulation somehow successful.

Quote
it's completely open-source, if there anything nefarious it would be picked up straight away

That is the beauty of Bitcoin and its open-source nature, people are able to verify and check whether the system is tampered or not.  Besides, the block validation of miners are very strong that hacking it will cost the hacker billions of dollars before he can change or modify the network.

Quote
in regards to surveillance, yes it can be tracked - but privacy is optional & if used correctly can be more private than monero

I think as long as the address isn't connected to personal data, I doubt Bitcoin can be more private tha Monero because BTC isn't built for privacy purposes.

crypto is a scam, it's no better than the government fiat currency that has enslaved the world

bitcoin will survive because it has no single point of failure where it can corrupted. I can see a single point of failure in every sh*tcoin. 2017 fork war is a testament to that

it will survive because people will have no choice if they want to prevent their savings from being eroded

it will survive in the age of CBDC's, because people will want to circumvent tyrannical control of their government

people will say:

governments will destroy it with regulation

bitcoin has been taken over by blockstream

bitcoin was created by the cabal - it's a surveillance coin

the reality is:

it's a trojan horse on this ponzi of a financial system

it can't be stopped or truly regulated

it's completely open-source, if there anything nefarious it would be picked up straight away

in regards to surveillance, yes it can be tracked - but privacy is optional & if used correctly can be more private than monero

the cypher punks always find a way to route around government

The simple answer to your questions is Yes, crypto will survive.
That is the correct answer. I also believe that crypto will survive this condition. This is a test for us and crypto because with the various cases that have occurred in crypto, and crypto has survived until now, this proves that crypto is slowly starting to strengthen and get a good position. The FTX case is like Mt. Gox, but the FTX case may have a big impact on crypto. But we must remain patient and calm to see that crypto can survive. The market will rise again one day, and now it is like the previous incident where the market is on the decline, and you don't have to worry.

The simple answer to your questions is Yes, crypto will survive. It's good that you reference the case of Mt. Gox, but this happened in the year 2014 when the adoption of Bitcoin and others are not as high as this. Despite that, crypto survived till this year and still has a promising future, so the case of FTX should not be an issue. The effect has been well-priced and I expect Bitcoin and others to be finding their paths upward soon.

Blockchain technology is not anyhow technology, it is an advanced technology that this general and the next need. So, it can't fade away just like that.

These things will continue to happen but won’t affect crypto’s survival. It is highly unlikely until there’s some extreme case scenario where the survival of crypto is at stake, which is highly unlikely as of today.
