Elon is not an ordinary person, he has great power and influence on the bitcoin market. That's really dangerous, I no longer trust what he announced in the tweet. Even the latest news is that Tesla is short on $23 million in bitcoin holdings (probably when accepting bitcoin payments). That's really hard to imagine being real.
I don't believe him, but I think about what he said. Undeniably, his words are still useful to some people. He still has some fans. His attitude towards Bitcoin makes everyone tired of him. This is also a good thing. We can judge the market situation through Musk's post.
Elon Musk has his own privilege to say everything he want including Bitcoin. I think it is how we react to what he said is matter the most. We can think and get inside from his tweeted. Also importantly don't blame him for what happen with bitcoin price especially when the price is dropping.

Whether they believe or not, but he'll be followed by majority of the users. Particularly traders will be watching his moves very closely to record good profit. He has the ability to make changes in the market with his words. Whether the word is gonna make a positive or negative note on the market is predicted by the traders and the moves were made on buying/selling.
It still depends upon the situation with regards to what will be his statements that would convince people to still believe into whaever he will say. But with the recent issues that involve Elon Musk with the concern about the crypto community, many people who have been following him at first might turn their backs at Musk and disregard all statements coming from him due to breaking of their trust because of the statements and principles the above mentioned name is putting into words.

his followers are still loyal to Elon Musk. but also many began to distrust Elon Musk because Elon Musk caused hype and many suffered losses. so in my opinion you have to do an analysis and don't be trusted because of the hype
some people still believe in elon musk even though they curse elon but there are also people who really hate elon, so not everyone hates elon musk there are still people waiting for elon musk's tweets they believe that elon's tweets are still effective to increase the price of coins.
There is no doubt that a lot of followers of Elon are still supporting him particularly those newbies who rarely know about what Elon has done in the crypto market. For me, there is no need to believe Elon because what he did to bitcoin was definitely a selfish thing. At first, he hyped bitcoin but when he became interested into doge coin, it turned out dumping bitcoin and making this meme coin to pump instead. I don't know how Elon became so influential into crypto but one thing i know, he is just fooling around and made most of the investors become confused too. Elon is a smart guy and so what he did was just all for financial advantage and nothing else. 
I personally don't really care about this person because with or without a statement from him I can still do my own research. but I still follow the progress of what he is doing because for me it will be very profitable regardless of the controversy he creates.
as for there are still people who believe it or not, it's back to their own rights because I'm sure even though many hate it, there will still be a lot of supporters, especially for beginners who want to be involved in crypto.
but for me if it benefits me then i will follow but if it can create high risk like the pump he has done before then i will leave because this is my asset and i will keep it as strong as possible

It also sounds almost religious when somebody asks whether you do believe in Elon Musk. Why should I believe in Elon Musk? He is an outstanding tech guy with an important voice and I can listen to him, sure, and I can choose to believe what he says. But believing in him goes a thousand steps too far.
We are all aware on what this guy had done into this market and I don't believe that people do still have that kind of trust but its really hard to ignore whatever those words that do really
came out into his mouth since we know that this market is really that reactive and could move even with slightest hint or words been spoken.

I am one of those that elon for me has lost all authority. And I haven't made any money from his tweets, nor have I lost it, simply inconsistencies cause me great mistrust.

we can't indoctrinate the minds of those who are already crazy about Elon. Even though we don't trust a word from Elon anymore, there are still many his fans out there. believe or not on Elon's words when he talks about Bitcoin is our personal decision.
I think it's clear now that direction to which the market goes was never really in Elon musk's hands, what happened in the past is we allowed our judgements to be greatly influenced by whatever he said about Bitcoin on his social media platforms.
