But I wouldn't delete it, it's just a waste of time and it can be useful for various things to not delete submitted posts. It's part of the history of your account, so why delete it?
I would agree with regular posts made in general sections of the forum, deleting such (on a large scale) may skew a thread as the posts may have been quoted by other members involved in the discussion. Bounty reports however are not discussions and are unecessay imo, as the managers could use an external service like Google forms and check manually rather than walls of quotes and re-quotes, but they go for the easy way.

Deleting them wouldn't affect much and would help unclog threads, also there's the privacy issue as some of these users enter social media campaigns on the forum using their actual profiles, this could lead to their offline identity being linked on the forum later on.

May I ask if deleting posts in a short period of time will result of getting ban on the forum?
that's what the Bitcointalk Forum is for, especially for discussion, the main purpose.
And those who don't know become to know, but for that so that my answer doesn't collide with some other people's answers, the problem that you want to know has already been asked by several people here.

Pretty good if you have a lot of time to read a few topics below, it can help you and answer your doubts.

Hi everyone

I'm newgal2017 and I am participating to bounties before and have so many reports (On bounties) using this account I was thinking of deleting most of my reports on bounties in a short period of time and afraid that I might get banned from the forum.

May I ask if deleting posts in a short period of time will result of getting ban on the forum?

Thanks for everyone who will answer.

No you can delete thousands and nothing will happen.
If will look suspect to others reviewing your history.

Block halving is coming.
You may lose your rank if you delete a lot of replies, and you may lose 14 days of activity replies if you delete them during that period.
Generally, your problem seems to be more about Merit than activity so I don't think you will have a problem if you delete some of the responses.

read rules again to know the reasons that may leads you to be banned.

Take note of this post.

If you delete the old post, it may lead to rank lose of your account due to losing activity after you deleted the old posts.

The same case happens on this guy from here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/my-account-is-bug-5253426 and the account link from this thread Legendary Member??

So if you don't want to lose your activity and rank you shouldn't be deleted the old post. Except for some posts under your current rank position.

You won't get banned since deleting own posts is not against the rules.

Bitcointalk isn't the Bitcoin blockchain where you can't change anything and that's why I prefer to keep posts undeleted even if it's possible to do here.

No it'll be fine.

As a general rule: if the es no explicit rule against it and its something a normal person would do and wouldn't interfere with the running of the forum then you can go ahead and do it...
