I think ICO will survive in 2020 but with a new name because now there are some countries banned ICO's such as Rusia and China. So, probably there will be a new system or a new name for ICO's itself. Just wait for comes next in 2020 or so on. Smiley

Since so many ICOs seem to be getting done privately by big institutions investors where the public needs to have connections to get in to a large minimum investment (Eg. 100 ETH+)...

Do you think Public Pre-Sales (e.g. minimum 100 ETH) or Pre-Sale Pools will even exist in 2 years?

It depends in what will happen in the future because currently ICO is going down little by little because of ADS ban and some country ban ICO for the reason that there are much scams and fraud in ICOs lately however if we will see a good and successful ICO and the scams are lessen dramatically maybe we will see ICO be accepted worldwide with that ICO can survive very well.

I am absolutely sure ICOs will continue to exist even beyond the year 2020 as long as these ICOs projects has a clear road mad and will impact positively to the investors or people who understood what the project is addressing in the social economic well being of the people.
For example, there are many cryptocurrencies out there with different features for different users. A brief look on few of the features includes
Bitcoin.
1.The largest and most well-known, this is the cryptocurrency that really kicked off the revolution. Its market cap (MC) is around 30B USD, and it has reached 350k transactions per day on busy days. The currency has an upper limit on the number of possible coins (21 million).

2.litecoin.
This cryptocurrency’s main feature is that it is much faster to transact. Since each transaction takes so much calculation, BTC transactions take upwards of 10 minutes to confirm. This is not feasible for paying on-the-go. LTC gets the time down to about 2.5 minutes, though that is still much longer than the seconds it takes for credit cards or cash.

3.Etheruem
ETH is the second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, sitting at about 8B USD. ETH was originally designed to be a platform and not really a cryptocurrency. The transaction time is on the order of 10–15 seconds for confirmation, which is a huge improvement. ETH are also released every year, so there is no hard upper limit of ETH like with other cryptocurrencies. This means that not all the coins are in the hands of early miners. Etc
There are many more cryptocurrencies with deference features that people get adopted to it uses on daily basis.

of course ICO will still be there in the year 2020 if you realize in that year the digital currency is very common and many people are competing to create new projects that use the support of digital currency which means that many new ICO is created and make it all become all-round digital, so do not be afraid every year even until more than 2020 ICO will still exist. while for the minimum opinion they are targeting it depends on the condition of the price movement of the ethereum.

ICO will always available in market because every year some features and some innovative things are added in Blockchain technology so ICO will exist in 2020 but some changes are expecting the ICO and some private sector companies are creating the own platform so some regulation also possible in future.

ICO will not go anywhere as long as it is not banned worldwide. It can have a regulation but it has a good effect in the ecosystem to avoid scams. It will exist as long as there is a good idea that could add and improve  our daily activities in life.

Yeah sure, ICO will survive come 2020, but i think it will change because a lot smart contract blockchain will be available and stable by then there will be competition. So I believe i 2020, ICO investing will still exist but the way to invest will change

I believe that the ICO will exist in 2020, but some processes will change.  Perhaps, for starters, projects will need to provide some supporting documents for their activities.  Investors will also choose projects more carefully.  And only those projects that have either a brilliant idea or a working product (at least partially) will survive.

I find it difficult, because there are still a lot of problems.
So when national laws are perfected, there will not be so many private sales.

ICOs will likely exist in 2020 but maybe with a different philosophy and more features to avoid scams and have ones with good ideas.

I think in the future ICOs will need a product before starting one!

Very unlikely that we'll be seeing ICOs in 2020 as there will be projects based on anything and everything while there won't be any ideas left. Seeing private pre-sales attracting a lot of big investors, the failure of that project will see them never coming back to invest in cryptos and the numbers will keep going down. Ultimately, it depends on the idea and how they attract investors with planned returns to sustain the future of fund raising through ICO.

I am hoping that ICO's will be able to survive this year. As we all know, there are a lot of struggles this month and from what I have heard of, there are ICO's who postponed their presale because of the current situation of the market. Lets hope that April and May will be the time for bitcoin to recover. A lot of investors are playing the waiting game and trying to play safe, they are cautious on investing on btc for now. Maybe it will change this month.

For me, ICO system would still operates and survive as long as cryptocurrency business still exist. Because ICO is now strongly belong to the line of cryptocurrency business, and without ICO the crypto business would be something lacking.

Yes, I believe ico will still exist after 2020, but it will not be as chaotic as now, but there will be a special department or agency to supervise ico's issuance.
Of course, it may not exist, but the probability of this situation is relatively small.

Well theres possibility that it will survive as long many people get link to Cryptocurrencies or get a knowledge about it many ICO will be create and much more, theres a many project that havent applying a blockchain yet that why its possible to meet it to 2020.  in whole world many people dont have a knowledge about crypto. but every year the investor is increasing, much more when in 2020 the possibility of creating an ICO or existing ICO to survive has a higher chance.

We can't know what will happen in 2020. It's too hard to say if ICO is still alive in 2020, or not. But how to say, maybe in 2020, we will see something like ICO running, but not an ICO, it run with another name, but the same nature with ICO.

Of course, the ICO will exist in 2020. Currently, the cryptocurrency market is growing and the market is gradually turning green. At the same time, the ICO projects of investors more and more. Therefore, the ICO projects are growing stronger over time. And by 2020 there will be many potential ICO projects and more developments.
