I had a Bitcoin wallet on my smartphone (Blockchain Wallet app) and I should of get a payment in few minutes but my smartphone just died. Will the payment still get into my wallet and wait for me until I buy a new smartphone and reinstall and log in my wallet again?
your payment will be fine. you can check it into blockchain explorer. make it sure when you reinstal wallet into new phone using official source, check it twice, triple, before do anything

No worries for the transaction it will send to your wallet anytime that's how works blockchain, that is not a Bluetooth that need a smartphone to smartphone transaction. But the question is do you have a recovery seed on your app wallet? I personally don't use app wallet because it has a high risk of being a scam. Use a web wallet or why not the desktop wallet and don't forget to save the recovery seed and private key that is a very important thing.

Of course the transaction is through blockchain and not through phone to phone... For what I've seen you didn't understand how the transaction works through blockchain and if not I suggest to read this https://bitcoin.org/en/how-it-works on how do transaction works.

No matter what phone you use as long as you have an access to your account/wallet you will be able to use or transfer the funds you've get as easy as that... but i suggest to read more on the internet a simple research will do.

payment will be accepted to your wallet without any obstacles if it has already been paid, you can see your payment details in block transaction your wallet address online. don't worry your wallet is still safe if you keep the key in the wallet because it's the most important access

have a great day all

I am glad to hear this, it is a common problem people have when first starting out with crypto. Make sure to always save the keys via writing them down.

that's the advantage of blockchain transactions, after you have done your transaction automatically in the process even though your smartphone is dead, yes you can use your private key to open your wallet where you want it

Your phone didn't run out of juice but technically died? That's when saving the mnemonics/pass phrase of your wallet really comes in handy. The next time you install a bitcoin wallet on your phone, always ensure that you keep backup files on other devices just in case. Always remember that smartphones have no guarantee on until when would they be operational/useful to you, so in order to prevent losing your funds forever due to a bitcoin wallet installed on your phone and it suddenly died, always keep backups.

Nothing lasts forever
What happens is that when you make a transaction it actually means that you are broadcasting the transaction on the bitcoin blockchain. Once a transaction is broadcasted on the blockchain there are miners who validate the transaction and transfer the funds from one wallet to another. Hence once you are done with making a transaction then the funds will be automatically transferred to recipient's address. It doesn't matter if the receiver is online or not. So it basically doesn't matter if your smartphone is connected to the internet or even dies. The funds will get transferred to your wallet independent of your internet connection status.

i think your transaction will not lost, if you use blockchain wallet on your phone, because bitcoin wallet is work online, you can try to login from another device to check it, or you can search your address in the bitcoin block explorer using your computer browser

Luckily for you, if you had your private key with you but if you don't have it then that will be a big problem because there is no other way to recover it But if that mobile wallet have another recovery procedure that you can try then that will be your second option, Well a lot of guys here were saying to look for the transaction if it gets verify, I think you can see it in the blockchain site and search for your wallet address then you will definitely see all various transaction you made.

Well I hope you backup your data so you can recover the wallet. This is one important thing to do even when you haven't encounter any signs of death to your phone. I have been installing wallets and dapps just to test playing the games in my phone and one that I do after installing is back up the wallet where I put some funds just incase I drop my phone in my sink as it happened once. Privatekey and passwords  are important.

Your smartphone is not what is receiving the bitcoin but  bitcoin receive wallet address. Whether your phone is off or not and you get a new one years to come, the bitcoin will still be fully received by that wallet you used for the transaction. All you need do is get a new phone and access the waller using your passkey and you see your bitcoin patiently waiting for you.

If you can't still understand it in a more technical way then I ll give you a simple example.

Using bitcoin is not like sending a message from messenger. Think about more likely when you have ordered a product from amazon. When purchase is successful then all you have to do is wait and receive the product. So if you sucessfully send it or if somebody send it to you wether you were online or not you are still going to get it.

I recommend you posting or reading more on this section

There is trouble abrewing
think of bitcoin as a public storage with a lot of boxes that are locked. when people send you bitcoin, they send the bitcoin to that box that is held by everyone who is running a bitcoin application (full node). to spend it you need the key, and anybody with the key can open that box but you have to have that key.
that key is your private key and that is stored in your wallet. that is why you receive your payment even if you are not online, or your phone dies,...

You need to check on the blockchain so you can see if there is a transaction coming to your wallet. And then, you need to install new apps of the wallet in the other android phone, or if you don't have another phone, you can use a pc or laptop. You need to write down the key phrase so you can have access to your wallet.

The point is you don't have to worry because your money still on your wallet and as long as you save the keyphrase, you can install the wallet on the other phone.

Technically you have nothing to worry about despite you loose your smartphone. These are the advantages of application wallet on mobile. As rightly said above, get a new smartphone and get back your application running to get back your funds.

Your payment should go through if it was broadcast to the network regardless of the status of the phone. What I'd recommend is using blockchain.com to check the status of transactions. Also, like someone else pointed out, you will need the seed phrase or private key to get ahold of this payment with the new phone.

The payment will be received regardless of whether the app was opened during that time or not. If by died, you mean the phone is no longer working then you will need to recover your wallet into the new phone using the seed words.
