If they are arresting and taking him to trial which can lead to 20 years in prison then they should arrest those guys who founded the internet. This map is incorrect! I can see my country is highlighted as formally banned telegram but that's not true! Telegram is a fully legal app in my country.
Now coming back to the main question. If US starts banning telegram then a lot of its allies will follow the same path. That will then become disastrous for many telegram based cryptos as well.
Also it will push the altcoin market hard because a lot of altcoins use Telegram as their primary mode of connect and to run bots. But who cares about the shitcoins anyway!

Telegram is unregulated platform lots of scams happened there and can't blame the government to block that app sites lots of anomalies happening there. Plus they create their own crypto which makes them more questionable.
