If bitcoin died then other cryptos will be also die. There will be a shock wave among the users, investors and traders of the cryptos; no one will think about taking risk in that situation. So this could be the end of cryptocurrencies if the bitcoin is dead as people will obviously loose the interest and faith from the cryptos.

I think that, when bitcoins died they will just jump to another cryptocurrency which are altcoins because it is the remaining coins that are quiet famous today. Leaving the cryptocurrency world is a huge problem for those who are already pioneer in this industry because they already spend a lot of money so they cannot leave that simple.
With all the sudden excitement and crypto currency’s here in 2017, I can’t see it dragging other alt coins down. I think we’re just getting started as far as the crypto currency market goes, with or without bitcoin.
In fact, it is happening right now, a lot of people are just now investing in Altcoins or just in ICOs because they can make more money in there. They all are just interested on money, not on the technology.
And that is sad.. But what can we do about it? Nothing.
Bitcoin was the main attraction for this market. Everyone wanted to invest in Bitcoin, but as the market received more and more popularity, other crypto appeared that makes more sense for the ones who wants to make more money and faster, to invest in. As long as new projects are on the table, than no one will lose interest.
Funny. The higher BTC price goes the more people panic. I know, you have more to lose now, but still. Check past trends and stop running around like scared old ladies. It fluctuates. The same as euro or the dollar.
It depends on an individual, as far as to my knowledge people not lost hope or lose interest in bitcoin because it is fastest growing coin so can make good money out of it, so if this is the case then why people lose interest.
I am sure that people will revert to Bitcoin as soon as we see the next hike in price

Not everyone is going to lose interest at all, most people are very confident that it is going to rise again and i am one of those who believe that it is going to do exactly just that. The newbies investors are those who have already lost hope and moved unto other things.

With the way Bitcoin price is dropping it will make people to lose interest. Especially those selling at lost.
Only those people will loose interest who sell in loss. This will happen to people who panic and sell in less time.
I don't know whom are you talking about but crypto market is heated as hell now, just search for new opportunities.
If bitcoin dies(though it seems a distant possibility,because of the interest and increased awareness people are getting about it) other altcoins may suffer.But as already said the pioneer is still alive and kicking.The price may be stable as of now but bitcoin is here to stay.

I don't know would other crytocurrency replace bitcoin in this case. Most of them are linked to bitcoins price so probably they wil die as well but maybe people will create something new

Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency. Not only common investors but billionaires, politicians and even financial institutions invested in bitcoin currency. Many speculators have investments in bitcoin currency; they are always keeping it volatile. But ban by bitcoin leading countries have shaken the bitcoin community. People are diverting their funds; as a result bitcoin price is falling sharply. If this situation continuous people may lose interest from bitcoin currency. If any new, much advanced crypto currency comes in the market then it will be a big competitor for bitcoin.
people will lose their interest in bitcoin if many country banned it and the price of it continually to get low but if the price of it gets higher and higher the interest of people in investing in it doesn't lose.
Obviously people will really lose interest because they cannot invest or sites are being banned like this forum where we can get in touch on cryptocurrency news. There are a lot of people who really wants to invest on building a mining rig but their country are prohibited by the government to use cryptocurrency, still there are more interested people but there's only hindrances like the government.
Good question , there is a chance to lose interest to trade bitcoin. Because people think bitcoin is going to flop . But i think bitcoin will recover soon.
I think people will lose interest in bitcoin when bitcoin prices go down and become very cheap, usually people will move on altcoin or look for coins that have a high value
Price is most important marker for most of the people now. Many newcomers even not trying to understand the technology behind different projects. We can see it in the hype metrics(cryptocompare has it in the social filters). When the price goes up people talks more, when it goes up it talks less. We will see "2013 crisis 2.0" for sure and people will scream that somebody stole their money. And most people will dump their tokens cheap.
In my part, I already encounter the ups and down of cryptocurrency's, but i never put in my mind to stop. Because one's you stop.. this means you are a looser. Life must go on. and i always aim on wards. being optimistic. I do believe bitcoin will address all my financial problems someday..
