Well, I do not think that was what really happen, they were only accused of over printing coin and their figure is not based on the real value of what they have, which they never even agree for them to be audit, so it means their transaction looks kind of shady and would be better for people to abstain from such right now. This might also be the reason why bitcoin has been increasing in value, probably people ate beginning to exchange their USDT holding back to BTC since it requires for them to change it to BTC before they can move it. I see tether really dyeing soon, but we still have other stable coins in the market that are doing fine.

It is not about them being the first or not, we need to stop encouraging these people with some of their evil actions in the name of being the first, if they misbehave, they stand to really be corrected instead of them being adamant just because they are being protected because of the lack of regulation and the anonymous nature of cryptocurrency.They should leave that one aside and be opened to auditing, then we will know if they are saint or not, or if they can really stand the test of time with their hidden deals they may eventually backfire for their users, they should also stop over printing.

I don't think tether is going to die, but what I believe strongly is that since the truth about tether has been discovered, I don't think we are going to see tether as a stable coin anymore, but it would become one of the normal coins we have in the Crypto market, and due to it's trade volume, it might still be able to get a lot of ground in the Crypto market in terms of price. I've been hearing rumors about Tether and it's fake fiat reserve since 2017 and it still exists.
As long as Bitfinex exists,USDT will continue to exist.It's a totally pointless cryptocurrency,if you ask me.

Yes tether will be there until bitfinex is operating it’s one of the most trusted stable coin even after several rumours and even some serious accusation this coinstill holding its value. I think such manipulation things made only for one purpose - to force sell USDT and buy BTC. be dictated from this coin, whether it will survive and serve its purpose or die eventually when the developers failed to support this coin inside the

its the most likely to the dollar true value.. its just about faith . no enough money to back it up. but righ now the community feels safer with them atound... and i think they earn this trust because became one of our very best friend in the bear market. and the they are getting the reward back with the trust they foged this last years.

People are adopting tether more than any alts. With its apparent success they would increase the supply. They are a tool for crypto traders and are here to stay.
But the pro and con of this particular token is the same. They are fixed to USD. They would rise in the marketcap on a bear run while goes down in a bull run.

Where did you hear that ? We will know if Tether creator dump the coin, by the price. If the price is not stable anymore, it will be the sign.
I suggest you to not just using tether as your only stable coins. There are already many stable coins in cryptocurrency.
This is not the first time bad news is coming against tether, it hasn't die despite the fact bad news has been surrounding tether usd, it can't be killed regardless of any bad news.
It is a little hard to prove money stolen or other matters. But it is not impossible. On the other hand, the volume says too much things. Those backed up by USD are much more attractive.
It has survives a lot criticism and still strong,I think for any coin in this space to stay on top it will keep fighting all this criticism. They are more in the media than in the market and it keeps enjoying the daily volume movement. It is serving a good purpose with it's low volatility and other alternatives does not have the confidence of traders like it has. Also have the biggest marketcap to handle high volume trade, so it will take more than mere rumour to kill the coin
