I you took profits on the way up, then you do not have to worry. Most people just re-invest everything and I think that is the

wrong approach. The strategy is always to Buy low & Sell High.... but I reckon some idiots sold during the December high and

used that money to pay for Xmas gifts and expensive holiday treats and cannot buy back in...now.  Roll Eyes ... Oh well, it will take

some time, but it will recover.  Cheesy

Early 2018 bitcoin prices slumped. When will the bitcoin price recover? How is your prediction?
The beginning of the year Bitcoin went down strongly but I think it will come back next week when the market starts to recover after this storm.  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

in 2013 or something it went up to $1000 and fell down to around $200. it took years to recover from that. i this is a similar kind of scenario ! it may take another 2 years .....

That was the Gox pump and price dropped badly when Gox went out of business with half of all the BTC on the market.

Am new at cryptos, but having studied the trend over the years, bitcoin will recover and even rise higher its a cycle that has been repeating itself since bitcoin came into existence, I call it the rise, fall and more rise cycle.

The price will increase pretty soon. It is the correction time. And the Bitcoin has corrected a lot by now. There could be a dip upto 8k but it will rise back strong again and reach new All time highs. Wait for it, don't panic sell. Look at charts, these kind of dips are normal in cryptocurrencies since it is not yet a mature market.

If you take a look at the historical BTC/USD charts you will see that January was always a bumpy month in the last few years. Price used to start increasing around mid/late February, but sometimes in only in March.

I think it will recover because digitalization is going on and more and more assets will be virtual in the future instead of like "being in the real world". But I think there will be more coins in the future so Bitcoin should not only be your priority. More types of coins will be distributed and Bitcoin's power and influence as a cryptocurrency will lessen as it is very expensive to acquire these days.

price goes down to recover!

and bitcoin will recover, like always. right now it is the large scale manipulation of small time investors to get their coins cheaper so that you can sell it back to them at that recovery and take the short term big profit from doing so.

these are pretty interesting times though. to see how successful the dump is. i am personally counting the minutes when price stays below $10k

We can't tell when it's going to happen but this decline in price is still within what looks like a falling wedge 'bullish' pattern.

It is only a matter of time. The bitcoin's price will surely recover as you wake up tomorrow you will see that the price will be back to green again. I still have faith in bitcoin's power.

If the slump continues like this I doubt BTC prices will recover in the near future, all the beginning of the year for BTC is this decline is commonplace for most who understand the price of BTC.It is difficult to understand that everyone wants to profit but the fact that a lot of lose in a single day, maybe in April the price recovered.

It is difficult to name the day when everything will start to grow, so everything is unpredictable. I think from one to several months everything will return to its former positions.

Do not get panicked and sell off your bitcoin, you will definitely regret it when the price is pumped. Now, there seems to be a correction and when it is done, there will be a bigger and better price of bitcoin. Instead if you can, use the opportunity to buy more bitcoins and store them properly. Whatever that is happening now is normal when you are experienced in investing. Don't get chickened out.

Absolutely yes, because it is very normal in bitcoin or any other type of cryptocurrency to reduce its value and increase. Eventually in the later days the price of bitcoin will be high again, much better if you will invest now in bitcoin while it is in low amount.

It will probably happen , this was bound to happen after the big pump and influx of new users . Now is the time to buy or just sit back and wait for a month , prices have always recovered in history.
