The rise is inflated due to the amount of sellable BTC on the exchanges. 12m created, 2-3m of those have nearly no traffic, yet the exchanges only have daily volumes of 36k to 80k bitcoins...

Exchanges are 30,000 BTC from dropping back to 200 etc ... small number considering outstanding coins. Until there are some major sell offs to exchanges, allowing more volume to be shared and spread among more people ... there will be high volatility.

We just need the real BTC rich folks to dump their coins, kill the market and allow that spread to occur.

"bitcoins will crash to $0 starting now!"

Here's to hoping that prediction will be just as wrong 6 months from now!

It's true bitcoins have continuously been going up, but who knows what could happen? That drop to ~$800 earlier was amazingly quick, even if it did quickly recover.

I seen April crash from $260 to $70, so small drops dont worry me at all

That reminds me of a thing:

Son: Can I borrow $50?
Dad: $40?! What do you want $30 for? I don't even have $20, here's 10.

That's why you should have never started asking under a couple hundred.  Tongue
