of course I would argue that someday bitcoin prices can actually last in the price of $ 10000, or even more. I feel it will happen next year. well, even this year, bitcoin prices almost reach those prices. the bitcoin is absolutely fantastic.

It might be possible but there will be need for mass adoption before it will be possible.

It's all about adoption. Bitcoin needs ways to be spent before it can get anywhere near $10,000. The average person needs a reason to get Bitcoin.

This, and go throught the ID verification process just to buy Bitcoin is not good way
Much more Bitcoin ATMs are needed first

because of the finite quantity of available BTC I think it is possible within next year or two it could be several thousand

The advantage of Bitcoin is honesty - you know the number of mined coins and max coins.
Compare it with dollars, noone knows exactly how many dollars are there now or how many dollars will be there next years

Since the value of the currency is based on its transaction frequency, it is pretty hard to say, but as more people become aware of it and it gains popularity, who knows.  I don't see 10K in the near future, but perhaps a couple of years out.

when are you guys going to realize that bitcoin is going to the moon and beyond in our lifetime?

I think mid 50K by this time next year.
this reminds me of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulip_mania

Never heard Tulips can be used to send money to your family member overseas cheaply and quickly, without your ID verification

I feel EXACTLY the same.  And predict a $10,000 price point at this time next year, along with dow 18000 and nasdaq 5200

I see what you mean on a speculation caused bubble, but what would you do with tulips in the 1600's? Grow them into flowers or trade them in the future (for more money hopefully). Take away the speculation use and a flower doesn't have tremendous value to me (not at the cost of a hard year's work as a craftsman). Now when I compare that to Bitcoin,  I can think of thousands of uses for it other than future trading at an increased value. Anyone else feel the same? What excites me about Bitcoin is not the speculation part at all.

Personally I'm almost certain that it will reach it in the next 2 years. If not then It has to eventually. The amount of hype it has now will see to that.

Doesn't have to be. If a lot of people want to pay in Bitcoin, they pushing the price up.
That's just free market. Only reason why it is this high, is because a lot of Bitcoins are not in circulation right now. Maybe as high as 80%.
yes ofcourse anyone is free to pay whatever he want's, bitcoin price is similar to the value of art, very low intrinsic value and mostly speculation. Currently bitcoin isn't used to much and transaction fees is getting larger and larger.
Agreed, I hope though that the intrinsic value goes up fast if it's used more as a payment system.
The transaction fee is taken care off in the next release 0.90. Hope they finish it soon.

no. for sure no new release.

No, that would be very very hard.
Only if it is changed in the protocol and the majority of the miners agree with it.
