I think there is a very big chance of this happening, as more regulation seems to be incoming.
I do no think regulation is going to be enough in order to do that, I think there will need to be a persecution of those that hold bitcoin in order to make people realize that anonymity is a main feature they want in their coins, at the moment most people are happy with their bitcoin that offers no anonymity.

No they won't!

anonymous altcoins will always remain a currency to be used for illegal activities in the dark web and not much else in other places in real world and that is fine.

plus there will be nothing wrong with bitcoin, and there is nothing coming. it will remain the same and continue being adopted and grow.

of course trading is different. anon coins might see a pump if a hype really takes place and then fall down like always.
Bitcoin was used like that at the beginning so we must not judge those coins so harshly besides the anonymity of those coins may come useful in order to improve that the coins are interchangeable, if that characteristic is lost in bitcoin then we cannot say that bitcoin is a currency anymore.

I agree, we're not in the place to say such things because no one can really tell what's next to these coins.
I believe in monero as I see it really promising. Like bitcoin, the anonymity of these coins makes them popular and I think many are eyeing these because of its anonymity.

and as of that this prediction might happen that some of buyers will go for some anonymous coins we cant say that it cant be happen but we dont know what will come to the mind of some buyers we cant predict what they gonna do ok let say we believe that it cant happen but always think money is involve here.

When a leader goverments will enter regulations in crypto - anonymous coins, such a Monero, Komodo, would be popular.

How does Komodo's anonymity compare to Monero? I'm not super technical, but everything I have read about Monero leads me to believe that it is the best Anon coin

I wouldn't be surprise to see more are more existing coins trying to implement some kind of anonymity into their blockchain in the future, I reckon it'll stay in high demand.
There are several coins that do that but many have issues, monero supposedly gives great anonymity but the fact that the coin is not widely used and mostly criminals use it hurt its usage, also that coin does not scale at all so bitcoin will never have the anonymity model of monero.

I suppose there will be somekind of trend to moving anonymous coins in next 3 years. Bans killed the purpose of lot of coins so people will have doubts if their original coins would be forced out of markets or are they getting sued cause of holding them on national exchanges so on. Anon coins will solve lot of problems.

Hi guys. We know that Bitcoin will be the first coin for some years at least.

But I´m thinking about China and the negative to accept Bitcoin. In this case, will the people move to anonymous coins? I have some examples:

*DASH
*MONERO
*DEEPONION (after Deepsend and Deeptrust will be implemented)
*ETC.

Is there a trend to buy more anonymous coins in the short / medium term? What do you think?

Thanks.

I think for a platform that is not obviously able to join in monero, dash, let alone monero,
he already has anonymous that is difficult to trace

i think they still using bitcoin and do buy and sell but maybe they are invest too with other coins like you mention it. its not about anonymous coins or not but its about the whole coins in crypto currency which people still want to invest. i see there are any good trend from the coins itself like the price is trying to go the higher price and many people is interested with trading so i think crypto currency will not stop because of china banning bitcoin.

it is a discretionary policy of the buyer, we can not predict whether the buyer will switch to anonymous coins. but indeed there will be buyers who go there though not yet known the number of buyers.

From what I understand XMR is hands down best privacy coin. Can anyone dispute this with facts to back up argument?

I don't think so, since anonymous cryptocurrencies would not prevent exchanges from being shut down.

What would gain more adoption would be an anonymous, decentralized exchange.

True, Bitcoin is first and foremost.
It could be, if the value of anonymous coin prices is high, they could just move to anonymous coins on the pretext of value, just as we do, we take an example: One day we want to sell gold, then we go to some gold shops. I'm sure, some of these gold shops give different prices. which gold store that gives a higher price, that's where we sell.

I still think btc is the best .
But anonimity is important to a lot of people in country's that maybe aren't so safe.

That is a good point. In some countries privacy is much harder to find than in others so some countries might prefer the private coins more than others.
