would there be another fork to btc? if yes when that could be?
What I believe about bitcoin that there is no doubt that anything which is going popular so it can face fork and specially bitcoin is the only one digital currency who is facing a lot for fork but thanks to bitcoin to face all these forks and still bitcoin is standing in market with high price and I’m sure bitcoin can also face some more forks in future but bitcoin knows how to handle.

Aside from the upcoming fork next month which is Segwit2x.
i think there will be more to come.
people cannot simply stop from thinking of new ways to create a fork on bitcoin.
i wonder why can't they just totally create their news coins without bitcoin being affected.
Cheesy

in my own opinions, segwi2x ( hard forks ) are the updates of the early bitcoin blockchain, updates that cannot done on the original blockchain because it can affects the whole data so they created new blockchain by this forks. and the next hard fork is on nov. 25, correct me if im wrong. many investors are trying to collect more bitcoin just to got the same amount of BTG after the fork to earn on that free money.

As long as this is profitable for people to do this, they will continue doing this. Expect to see Bitcoin Platinum or Bitcoin Lite or Bitcoin Supreme soon. A lot of developers wants a piece of the pie and the only way for them to get some, will be to fork Bitcoin into one of these Alt coins.

SegWit2x will be the next fork in November, but this one is different. This one is a hostile takeover attempt, not just a opportunistic attempt to create a Alt coin to profit from the fork. They want to control Bitcoin. ^grrrrrr^

But will the exchanges keep honoring them? What if the developers behind a fork are the same scammers who have been making pump and dumps and other shitcoins?

It has to end somehow and the exchanges can help by not listing the forked chain.

BTG, premined, bounty for replay protection, and if it survives with a decent valuation we will see a lot of forks/airdrops in the future. Bitcoin forks would be the new ICOs, premine, distribute free coins, free money, get instant valuation + user base.

Not only that. The forks will also be taking advantage of using the "Bitcoin brand". This concern has been raised by some because massive confusion might happen among the people who are new to Bitcoin.

Quote
It is highly unlikely that any major exchange would support such forks/airdrops, but you never know if there is a high demand, they might, but yeah you would always have exchanges like YoBit.

Yes, the excuse exchanges use is "let the market decide".

Hard fork to make BTc better, faster transaction speed, lower fees
So I believe that BTC will rise and fly to the moon
If, as a result of the next hard fork in November, the speed of bitcoin transactions increases and the commission fee decreases, then the demand for it will increase dramatically and its price will skyrocket. This is exactly what bitkoin needed to successfully advance and to remain for a long time a deserved leader of the crypto currency.
Totally agree with you. If bitcoin rise and fly to the moon, i might explode.

Yes, there could be another bitcoin fork but nobody know the actually time or day that another fork will come into picture. However, we're going to know right before it happen though so let's keep our fingers cross until then.

The problem with the forks is it is turning bitcoin into a laughing stock to people outside of the bitcoin community. All they see is a headline one day from the media, who is mostly clueless on the going's on in bitcoin, "bitcoin hardforks" ... they begin to see this every few months and nobody is going to adopt it as a payment system with so much volatility and no average user is ever going to use bitcoin.

Basically, they are turning bitcoin into an investment strategy as opposed to a currency or payment system. If that is what the community wants, that's fine, but it's rather unsustainable in that usage pattern.

I believe so and honestly i don't have anyyhing against forks. Consider it as upgrades to make bitcoin a lot better. We're givem ample time to prepare for upcoming forks anyways so no big deal

Possibly yes because the segwit2x is coming and there is this going on rumor that the next year there will be fork every month. I dont know if that is true or false. In my opinion if such forks continue to happen everyday the transactions will become risky for replay attacks for those who are not aware that a fork is happening - though that is mostly unlikely. Also the price of bitcoin also rises before the fork and so traders who are ready to pump the price will enjoy the forks and it gives them more reason to hodl.

I believe that there will be more forks that will try to steal the spotlight off of bitcoins. Bitcoin Cash tried it once but failed. Bitcoin Gold tried earlier and we still have no news about it but another will be coming, and it's named segwit2x. Probably this one's to watch out because it sounds promising. Forks usually occurs 3 times a year. Maybe next year we will be having more.

Now we just seen bgold on November segwit2x and for sure we will see more in future, some because they try to take advantage using the name of bitcoin some as a direct attack to bitcoin network as we can see with 2x.

One confirmed fork is bitcoin silver this coming December. Yet another reason to compel people not to take forked coins seriously. Bitcoin and even some other altcoins are infinitely better.

Forking is even no stopping at all. Next on November Segwit2x and more to come next year for sure. It is what differ from other investments because bitcoin is decentralized they can’t be stop and this forkers will do it as long as they want to. It might be a long shot for them to gain what bitcoin had become but they keep on trying and that’s worrying me a little bit.

Good luck. After Poloniex added ETC in the ETH/ETC split last year, it seems like exchanges agreed to put profit first, with no regard for splitting a coin's community. Bitfinex doesn't care these days; they'll add any scamcoin that they think will make them money.

Did you see the way Bitcoin Gold was handled by the exchanges? We don't even know if BTG exists yet, and Bitfinex and others are allowing trading of the coin on their exchanges. Ridiculous. What if the coin doesn't even get launched?

Who is giving these guys legal advice?! Roll Eyes

Ethereum Classic and Ethereum's situation is different from Bitcoin and BTG. The exchanges had the right to give the ETC to its supporters because the chain still had a few miners supporting it. For your information it was Ethereum who did a hard fork to make it look like the DAO hack never happened while Ethereum Classic's supporters wanted the chain to remain immutable.

Yes there will be many more forks in the future. They will occur when any one person or group of people at any given time decide to fork.
If you're referring to known forks, then SegWit2X is the only known (or the only one that matters) upcoming fork.
The fork will occur at block 494784, which is predicted to be on the 16th of November.

Soon, next month on 25th day(25nov,17), another BTC hard fork is launching which is named as segwit2x. . BTG loses a lot of its price just in 2 days of launch. Many core developers are in favor of Segwit2x so let's see how Segwit2x perform.
