I listen to a smart analyst who said that it was not the priority of elected gov to work and promote to integrate foreign born population because the results can only be seen 20 or more years later... It comes to the point of Rumsfeld saying that like sovietism it will takes a lot of work to discredit the underlying ideology. one good first step coming to the point of the analyst is to improve social cohesion... Not through a narrative or spinning but real and concrete steps to deescalate social tensions...

Integrating foreigners into local populations is actually the only way to relieve pressure at this point. It's much harder for a homogeneous group to stand against the inexorable build-up of pressure alone because no matter how sturdy the definition of itself, time has a way of wearing everything thin. By having entirely alien schools of thoughts in its midst and yet be standing together, a group can spread its burden across different philosophies each with their own independent coping mechanisms thus creating an interwoven net of identities where no single faith/creed ever faces the pressure alone.
Unfortunately, these compromises can only slow the inevitable, they do not resolve anything.

As long as the us constitution and bills of right are the only supreme law of the land the us is safe. The problem is in the EU where some countries struggle with a basic concept like freedom of speech...

It might take longer than 20 years but I believe terrorism will come to an end eventually. Through the use of force. With every technological step forward, control over humans increases. We already have mood-regulating drugs, brain implants, computer-controlled artificial limbs, mind control techniques, I think terrorism/war will be drilled out of humanity at some point, the same way people were lobotomized in the 1940's, in a global effort to ensure the species doesn't self-destruct. However, the ensuing new world is likely going to be immeasurably more nightmarish than the one we know now  Smiley

I think most of terror in the future will be done by LGBT mutants.

There will appear new streams under their flag, and it was inevitable because in fact we have seen some of the terrorists who have a different opinion about jihad.

In my opinion there will still be terrorism from the same groups 20 years from now. It can be a lot worse I think. There can be new terrorist groups by that time and there can be none. Its hard to tell since there can be many factors that can affect it but it is most probably to be worse than what we see today since they won't stop until they get what they want or when they are dead I think.

it's never gonna end now. there are enough pissed off and directionless people out there and adding terrorism for your reason to take it out on the world is the ideal peg to hang it on.

check out the guy in nice. he ate pork, smoked and drank and was a general piece of shit. all he had to do was add instant isis and his rage suddenly has a 'point'.

the terrorists of the past often acted from some type of ideology. the future bunch won't other than the desire to destroy. there won't be any need for funding, organisation, training or anything. any random psycho can fill their head with junk online and jump in.

The real question is, will there be 20 more years for the human race?

What are your opinions on the evolution of terrorism? How long will it continue and do you see an end to it?
It really depends on many factors.
In my opinion, the terrorist group in 20 years will be completely different, because all of them are criminals, usually insane and they actually fight each other to gain more power.
Time goes really fast for them,no terrorist group can constantly have a lot of recruits or soldiers. They will be just tracked down, and jailed sometimes,so i think we will have some different kind of terrorists organizations.

Don't mean to be pessimistic, but I think it will get worse.

The new age of technology has made terrorist acts very likely to be filmed on mobile phones/cameras and instantly uploaded and shared between millions on the internet (or even streamed live).

IMO this has two main downsides:

Firstly it helps the terrorists by broadcasting their actions instantly, and globally, making them think they are doing a more effective job (maybe it makes them feel like better "martyrs"), and also makes others more likely to engage in terrorist acts.

Secondly it turns public opinion against the religions that these terrorists claim to follow, and against their races (which at the moment tend to be Middle-Eastern or North African). This causes an uprising in public support for far-right wing parties/government in Western countries, and hatred and animosity to these religions and races in general.

These two aspects of new technology cause a feedback loop that just seems to make the problem worse.

If only these fucking lunatics would stop this shit maybe we could all just get along??  Roll Eyes
