What's going to happen if CZ and binance start getting rid of some projects on Coinmarketcap? Especially those with bad volume and Liquidity and also dead projects, because many are on coinmarketcap, what do you think this will do for crypto space? Will it have any impact or not?

I think there is more to this than meets the eye. The first question I asked myself was, why did coinmarketcap list those projects and exchanges in the first place, weren't they properly audited? Why aren't they cautioning exchanges to be straightforward after they have moved out of order? Or aren't they aware that most exchanges reports fake volume. As for projects, what are they doing about those with low volume. Although Binance going for coinmarketcap would be for their own benefits but yet I think it can help straighten out many irregularities in coinmarketcap.

It's my dream to see this actually happens but there is no way yet to know if binance team and CEO will make this come true, truthfully it will help crypto space and scammers won't have a room anymore

right now can be a golden opportunity to invest in lesser known coins with big potential.
For example TemTum is going to be announcing it's partnership with multiple nations to provide them with their blockchain as a backbone for their own stable national currencies.
once the announcements are made to the press, post-corona panic, I can see TEM going $1+

Honesty I am dying to see that action asap! I just can't bear the  P2PB2B, Vindax and other shit exchanges on high rank and thousands of token in CMC! Binance yet to control the Coinmarketcap, they will go forward slowly and I hope they will remove all those shit token, exchanges from the crypto market for sake to build a better crypto industry!
So many scam exchanges and altcoin scams are listed on coinmarketcap, it's really funny when we check the 24-hour volume of exchanges. Fatbtc, bilaxy, coinsbit ... these bullshit exchanges rank first in volume ... We need Binance to get rid of these exchanges as soon as possible.

Absolutely! As these shit exchanges on high rank, many new crypto enthusiasts don't know about real exchanges like Poloniex, Kraken, Bitstamp! We have Coingecko, Livecoinwatch and many more price tracking platforms, but those are not even mentionable before Coinmarketcap, it's the best tool to track coin's price, and every single crypto supporter knows this name! So, Binance is the owner of CMC already, so, they should remove those shady projects asap

It is better. so, not just any project can enter the coinmarketcap. sometimes some projects are quite proud to enter into coinmarketcap, but sometimes the development of the project only ends there. no other developments, and sometimes so much volume manipulation.
The listing requirement must be more complicated especially for those crap exchange sites must prove their volume and it must not be faked. There was a lot of people have been putting this as the main concern that must be solved by CMC as soon as possible. The fact that this will bring a huge impact instantly.

That will give bad impact to all his reputation thus far, the people will only see the bad thing for someone act instead of they see to good act before. But I think they will never do that, binance is the large exchange and his reputation is good so far. Even I think they will build the coinmarketcap to the right path and reduce the bad thing from coinmarketcap before.

I don't think binance will do that. because in the conference they held yesterday when the announcement of the acquisition of CMC, they said that CMC and binance would work in their respective fields.
so binance will not shift or delete coins that have been registered with CMC even though the coins are bad. binance has also said everything will work as usual there will be no influence between binance on CMC.

It will certainly have an impact. I would not have to scroll through several pages when looking for coins I can invest in because I know after the clean up so many cryptocurrencies would be delisted from Coinmarket cap. Some folks see it as some form of centralization in this industry but I don't think so because i believe CZ together with his team are going to lay down some specific targets to meet before being listed on CMC.

I think CZ and Binance are controlling Coinmarketcap so this will be better and dead projects with low exchanges will be kicked too then this will have a good impact on crypto, people now to see prices on coinmarketcap therefore CZ will update CMC with a new concept (maybe)
The point is I want shitcoin and exchanges with bot volumes to be immediately off the CMC list.

They cant have different entrance levels for some then other. To get on CMC your coin need to be on 2 exchanges and have some volume on them. Every coin can enter CMC. But how coins are listed on CMC is diferent. They are not just by marketcap. They already have some categories. There should be way more. On CMC is everything. From apples to oranges.

CMC requires a cleanup exercise. The platform needs to be sanitized of projects that are not contributing anything meaningful to the crypto space. Some of them are adding volume and they are fake. So, we need a situation where there will be real volume and real market cap, with functional projects and exchanges.
In a bid for newbies and new project team not to be deceived, there is a need for it.
When CZ final gets it, he knows what to do. Using his centralized power is what I will not support.

If that happens I think it will be a good thing for the cryptocurrency world. Eliminating weak projects and exchanges with fake volumes will help people have a better view of the market.

Impact? I think it has no impact on the market if CZ and Binance decide to clean the CMC by removing those shady projects that still listed in the platform instead it is very useful in the crypto industry to get rid of those unperformed and useless cryptocurrencies that still listed in CoinMarketCap database CZ must do that for the sake of the crypto industry.

Probably they will change the criteria for a project to get listed on their website so it only depends on the site itself and how they wanted to go with their reputation with newly acquired website. But removing dead ad shit projects will not impact anything on the crypto space.

I don't like the idea of Binance taking over coinmarketcap because coinmarketcap in the first place is meant to be on its own so that there will be fair treatment towards all projects in this space. In my own opinion, it is the duty of coinmarketcap to set out strict rules which will force out bad projects and those with low volume as well as enforcing exchanges to do the right thing, it will be tough but will be for the good of everyone.
If Binance manages Coinmarketcap, I think we will still be fair, do not worry Binance will abuse it because they are completely transparent. We can be confident and trust them, they have never let us down for years
CMC will be operating independently without direct intervention from binance. Im not sure if that will give a direct impact to the crypto but i just hope binance can remove all of the crap platforms that are still listed on the coinmarketcap. Maybe this will not affect so much but that's enough to bring back the golden time of CMC
right, so many garbage tokens that cannot develop in CMC, as if they would only fill the cmc list without any clear contribution. with the credibility of binance, hopefully we can remove less good exchanges, so that less-than-quality tokens can be lost, so do not commit fraud against investors

Coinmarketcap is a coin and token tracker thats has good volume. We knew before a project can be listed there they are required to have specific daily trading volume CMC requires. I think CMC doing this already before even Binance doesnt acquire them. But I am be grateful if Binance would initiate removing those shitty exchanges that fake volume. Or their feature about reported exchanges. The data here shows manipulation which confuses traders with the active market price for each token and coin. I appreciate if they will start with these exchanges.

  • p2pb2b
  • latoken
  • vindax

Can add more but these three really made a huge fake volumes on their list.
Go to coinmarketcap and look for a 24-hour volume of exchanges, you're sure to be surprised at them because so many bullshit exchanges are leading the way. I tried going through their website and found that they use bot trading, not too many people use those exchanges.
I guess now CMC is no longer accurate in providing information. I wonder why binance is eyeing CMC for them. hopefully, later it will get better because at this time we cannot see data that is truly real for us to measure making market analysis.
