"Bitcoin prices have reached what looks like a permanently high plateau."

I agree...a high plateau like this:

Your definition of a plateau is fucked up.

Doubt that BTC will ever be valued in double digits anymore, we're passed the triple digits and nobody wants to go back.

We will see single digits again, the question is when.

I know exactly when - when mBTC become the main traded denomination Smiley Not earlier than that, sorry.

Tin foil hat comes on when I see this kind of action. I wonder how much it would take for someone to bid this up to the point that all eyes are on Bitcoin, and then just crash it to the ground for everyone to see. That would be a surefire way to discredit Bitcoin for years, if not decades. And how much would such a show cost, particularly to someone who can print it without regard?

The next flash crash can still take us into single digits. Even if we hit $120 a 20% flash crash takes us back down to $96.

I believe you have misspoken sir. $96 would be considered double digits.

No, we won't see double digits again. Bitcoin is still unbelievable underpriced. The price should be AT LEAST 1000 $/BTC.

Spurn wild goose chases. Seek that which endures.

Pretty likely.

In the last month, there have been three flash crashes of 20% or more. Right now, such a crash would easily put us back into double digits, if only briefly.

Rises over $90 have been on very little volume. It wouldn't be very surprising if we went back there.

since bitcoin moves about 20-30% in the flash-crash panics, once we rise above $140 I think double digits are gone, at least until fundamentals change...

LOL....   my own prediction of single digit btc again this year is seeming less and less likely.  But yeah we'll see double digits again...  right?   sigh...

How about double digits for a little while, I already miss those cheap coins Smiley

Waiting for proudhon to switch from "we will see single digits soon" mantra to "we will see double digits soon" one. That would mean we can run up to the next stop - four digits, baby.
