this only sounds like a good thing but in fact you will encounter a lot of trouble if you accept bitcoin as your salary. mostly because bitcoin is like 80% investment and 20% or less as a currency so accepting it as your whole salary means you are getting your salary as an investment and it can only work if you have no expenses.

This is allowed in some work fields already. They of course ask the employee first if they want their pay in this way.
I for one would not like my pay in bitcoins unless it was in the same ratio as my salary's value in fiat.

For me i will accept bitcoin as my salary if i had a chance someone can hire any skills i can do.. because if you earn bitcoin you can get benefits of rising price of bitcoin also you can convert it fast into real money after paying or receive the payment.

I agree with you. The price of bitcoin always changed every minutes and it's not stable, it's really big disadvantage for the employees if they want receive their salary in bitcoin.
that's right, just imagine receiving salary in bitcoin when the price around 800$ and suddenly price falling into 400$,it'll sure give pain in the ass
but if there's a service which could hold our value of bitcoins to fiat and make it don't get affected by the fluctuation it'd be great, atleast not worrying about price falling

In Europe there is a hot new pertaining to a company whose going to introduce paying bitcoins to their employees. But given the instability of the bitcoins market value is it an advantage for the employees or an disadvantage. In my opinion this kind of payment for salary is not yet beneficial to employees not until bitcoins price has become stabled. Though if bitcoin will start to increase its monetary value it can be advantageuos but if not then it is a peril to the employees. So what do you think, what is your opinion on this matter?

I think this will be an issue for those who don't know Bitcoin or are hessitant to use it.  But for those who knows about Bitcoin and it's features, I think they are more than happy to embrace this changes.  As for the salary value, I think it wont affect much because they can easily convert them in form of cash. The only issue here is if the company assigned the Buy value of BTC then when an employee sold it will be less since there is a percentage difference on Buying Bitcoin and Selling Bitcoin.

It's not a new concept, because other services like BitPay has been doing it for quite some time already. I know some people who receive a portion of their salary in Bitcoin and the rest in fiat. They are

more than happy with that, because it saves them from buying Bitcoin with it and paying fees on top of that.. so the work is paying for the fees. I have to take my fiat and transfer it to another account

used for Bitcoin specifically {some banks close accounts linked to Bitcoin} and then pay an exchange fee to get some Bitcoin every month, so it would be much easier to receive a portion of your salary

in Bitcoin.  Roll Eyes

Actually I have no problem for that instead I'm quite happy because earn with bitcoin will easier for me to do some transaction that faster compare when I'm using fiat. Also using bitcoin provide lowest fee so I like to send my money to other country more often
the same for me, i would really like that to be honest i think that the price is going to grow a lot in the future and because of that i would definitely like to receive my salary in bitcoins

Not all of it because you can't pay taxes with Bitcoin as far as I know. I also like to have some in fiat because I like money that will stay the same price the next day. Bitcoin for me is like gold and not like a currency, so I don't care about paying stuff with it at all.

I would accept about 25% of my regular income in bitcoins.
If it was all bitcoins, it would be just too complicated.
They have to be exchamged in fiat, that mean complications with taxes.
Then there is the volatility thing, which means I might have to sell at a low price if I urgently need money.

If the salary is big enough, any legal way of payment is fine by me. Bitcoin would be just wow Smiley

And let's talk more about "big enough".
It has to be a few % bigger than the fiat salary, since the things we buy are bought with local currency and the conversion from BTC is not cheap.
Then there's the volatility, which works in both directions, so it's a risk. And - ask any insurer - the risks are not taken for free.

I strongly agree with you on the "not stable part".
In the end the worker may get way less money than the "original" salary. and that will surely discontent them.
But nevertheless there are not enough facilities that use btc . at least not in my country.Maybe receiving the 10% or 20% of your salary in bitcoin would be much more interesting.

If I were given the chance to receive my salary in the form of Bitcoin deposits I would not agree with that option. Bitcoin is too volatile right now and the amount I am paid monthly could vary too much if converted into Bitcoin and I might end up not having enough money to cover my bills or other expenses like food, clothes etc. Bitcoin might take an unexpected dip in price and I could not cover any urgent expenses if I have got less money than I would normally have should I have been paid in fiat. Personally I would prefer to get paid in fiat and invest a portion in the Bitcoin market.

For Regular Job? No because you cant be sure how much the exchange rate it will be when you receive it after your working 8 hours a day. what if you you have fixed 1 btc sallary every month and that month the btc exchange rate price is only 250$ would you be happy?. bitcoin today has no stable price yet to make it use as a sallary for daily regular job. so NONONO for me.
I already receive a percentage of my regular salary directly in bitcoin and don't have any problems with it, i would say for me it is an advantage.
The price of bitcoin at the time of transaction does not matter because if i am to be paid $200 then i just receive the equivalent amount in btc. Price swings in the days following have not been a problem so far, if they get bad then i can always hedge my btc against the AUD.

The bitcoin price is volatile but not as bad as some people make out,

We all know if btc price is unpredictable, sometimes it change a lot (dropped and up) and stable. If btc price could be more stable, i think thats no problem if our salary in btc.

Interesting question, now we see how much people wish for stability. And people don't like to risk btc to go down after receiving salary. I think we will need to wait for something like that to happen. Also there is questions about limited amount of coins. Can everyone work for btc? Will there be enough coins for everyone to receive salary in bitcoin?
