I would take BTC s a salary even now, it's so easy to exchange it to USD and local currencies that you wouldn't lose more than 2-3% or so if you want to exchange it Smiley . it would save me the effort of depositing money into exchanges to buy BTC.

You mean you will take it from your day job salary? Yes it is easy to exchange but the fluctuation could do something bad to it. Just an example your salary is paid at the last day of the month then suddenly the bitcoin price goes down and you know about it because someone tipped you or you are monitoring it already. How will you stop your boss from inputting your salary to bitcoin? That is the problem there. Why not just DIY if you have the cash.

People are not preferring to accept their salary in bitcoin is only because of the price fluctuations, as if price falls after getting the salary then we need to wait to sell them till price doesn't goes higher.

if you plan to convert the coins back to fiat after receiving them in form of your salary, then there is no real point in having your salary paid out in bitcoin. just use a certain part of your current salary, and buy bitcoin with it. best thing of all is that you can do it right now. no need to wait for when companies pay people out in bitcoin.

Yeah if finally you are going to convert your bitcoins to fiat currency then it doesn't make any sense in accepting salary in bitcoins as every time you need to pay the conversion fees to the traders.

Yes it doesnt make any sense but  there are people  dont totally  convert their  bitcoin to fiat, some may keep it and   hold some for long terms . It really depends on  persons reference  and decision if he would  like to accept bitcoin as his/her salary. It depends on  motives and  future plans.

But if bitcoin is the only source of income then he need to sell them on regular basis as he will surely need fiat to take care of his expenses as you cannot afford to save all of them without spending them for basic stuffs.

May be in future I will prefer to accept salary in bitcoins but at this stage I really can't afford to as price volatility is a major factor and if price drops then it will have negative impact on my salary.
I am also the same . if bitcoin have price stability then I would like to receive salary via bitcoin. however, the current price of bitcoin very fast up and down. I do not want to lose and my monthly income decreased because of it.

At the moment that is not acceptable for me because of the price volatility. With salary in Bitcoins you coud win or you could lose but you can't never know exactly how the price will move. Maybe in the future if Bitcoin becomes more stable.

If bitcoin achieves higher price and gets stable in future then that would be the best time to accept salary in bitcoins even if it is not accepted everywhere, as we would be aware what our monthly income would be.

whilst I agree bitcoin has good future and very "worth" it, I don't want to be paid using bitcoin, why?

I think it is too much of a hassle for me, I used my salary for my daily life, sometimes I need it fast to pay rent and other cost. I don't want to include "extra steps" just to convert it into real money in my bank account.

Investing, as hobby, as business, maybe yes I will accept bitcoin.

In Europe there is a hot new pertaining to a company whose going to introduce paying bitcoins to their employees. But given the instability of the bitcoins market value is it an advantage for the employees or an disadvantage. In my opinion this kind of payment for salary is not yet beneficial to employees not until bitcoins price has become stabled. Though if bitcoin will start to increase its monetary value it can be advantageuos but if not then it is a peril to the employees. So what do you think, what is your opinion on this matter?
I personally wouldn't mind my wages being paid in Bitcoin, since they'd be easily transactable and fairly liquid, and could be a good investment for whatever I wouldn't have to use immediately. I would maybe prefer for 3/4 of my wages to be paid in fiat and the remainder to be paid in Bitcoin, because that way I can be sure that I'll have money to over my expenses and still have a portion paid in Bitcoin.

Maybe if the employer offers some insurance against swings in the market, I can see something like this working.
Lots of peopel dont want to earn there salary into tbitcoins and i know whwat they mean because you dont want to earn bitcoins as salary we just want dollars instead of that stupid coin.

Its not an stupid coin and if you feel so then why are you wasting your time behind it? Bitcoin is the most innovative currency we have and in future everyone will prefer to get salary in bitcoins.

I would never accept Bitcoin as an salary because for me it just would not be really handy, in my country Bitcoin is not used much and most people do not even know what it is.
That is a problem and the reason why I would not accept it as an salary.
You can always convert it to Fiat if that is what you are worried about. I don't know what your country is but it is impossible that you are the only one using it, maybe there is a local exchange there who accepts bitcoin or a person who will exchange cash for Bitcoin. Well it is your own preference anyways, for the unstable price right now of Bitcoin you are right not taking Bitcoin as a salary

Jobless as well, fortunately some bitcoins are on the way Smiley

I'm jobless too because i'm a student so did not have any jobs yet, and this question is not for us as we only have one option to earn money which is with bitcoins so the question if we would leave our job for bitcoins does not apply on us.

I started out  my journey in bitcoin when I was like you, I earn few bitcoins most of the time. But now that I am earning fiat in real life, I prefer to receive it that way and I think nothing will change that except maybe if all the commodities around me are payable with bitcoin.

I also have the same experience. When I was in college and has no job. just get money from bitcoin.
but I think if I worked and accept a salary with bitcoin, I think it's a loss for me, because there are cost-cutting again when I convert bitcoin to fiat, then when the price goes down it will increasingly become a risk. but I'd rather work for bitcoin and get bitcoin, therefore fair and decent to me.
