Lol, what kind of question is this? Does it really matter when you gamble? I guess most of the people will be gambling during the new years since casinos might host different events and giveaways. But then others might be busy enjoying the new year with their friends, family and their loved once.
I want to know will you gamble before the year-end to try to get the most before the year-end or will you prefer to gamble after the new year to welcome the year, or will you prefer to do both, I'm having second thought betting before the year-end I might end up empty-handed, coming to the new year, and I'm also having second thought gambling in a new year I might end up starting the year with a lost.
The only reason for me to not gamble around this time would be as I will be spending time with my friends and family. I personally dont believe in taboos associated with gambling around new year time, but maybe I would have a resolutions to restrict the time I spent on gambling. If my new year plans go down the drain, I might as well spent the eve with myself, gambling and trying my luck to win some money.
It's actually your decision on whether or not you allow or play casino games yourself. Since you will just be playing in a casino during the new year I don't see anything bad against that as long as your family allowed you to gamble during that time. It is also up to you on how much are you willing to bet/lose but if I were you I would really watch the funds I have before I get intimidated with my money.

As there are lot of special offers that are being run on different websites, I will be utilising them first. So my intentions are to play as much as I can before the new year. Next year it will be business as usual for me.

Why bother on having second thoughts when the result when you pick either one of you have mentioned is just the same? Playin gambling whenever you want to will always gives you headache when you lost all of your bets, you play gambling because you are taking the risk to know if you could make it finally on making profits or not, so I guess you will never know and you must accept whatever the results may be if you risk it.

It depends on you if you will gamble before or on the new year because other people like me would rather spend more time with our family in holidays like this because we don't usually have time to have a family bonding in non holidays. So it will be better if you just spend more time with your family first thus new year, then after it would be the best time to gamble again.
Sometimes I am superstitious around the New Year so I don't wanna risk losing then have a whole year of gambling losses. haha Probably I'm just being paranoic, but again.. why risk it when I can just wait a week or two and have a little fun then? If you're worried for the outcome then its better not to gamble at all unless you're just using your spare money and hoping to grow it but prepared even you lose it.When we gamble keep in mind the risk of losing your money so dont play if you're thinking of what if.

Personally, I prefer to do both as long as I have money to play. It doesn't matter to me when to play as long as I am having fun then I will play. For me, I think you can play whenever you want it doesn't matter if you will start the year with loss because no matter what you try if luck doesn't hit you then there will be no difference. I think it is better to start gambling in the new years since it is a new year it could be a great win for you. Also, I think it is better to spend your money for a gift for your family or maybe you could just treat them in a great restaurant.
