Even if someone did as you wrote, it is still unlikely to affect the price of bitcoin. To manipulate the price of such a coin requires more serious news.

Personally I'm not going to buy anything with bitcoin, I'm waiting for the boom to end at the end of the year and withdraw it. The market repeats itself same graphics fallen.

I see a slight drop in the price in the last couple of days and that made me think, why this might happen now.  Huh My best

guess is that a lot of people might be converting bitcoins to fiat to enable them to buy cheap goods at retailers that are not

offering Bitcoin payments. Will you also cash out some bitcoins to shop at Walmart or Amazon or whatever retailer you shop

at, that are giving these massive discounts? This will surely explain the drop in the price, a week before Black Friday

starts.  Huh

I see no other major announcement that would explain the recent drop in the price.  Angry

for this year, of course we have to use our assets to enjoy, rather than having to sink into the situation and the falling market, it is better to cash out and spend on black Friday events or other needs.

You lead and I'll watch you walk away.
Why would you cash out? Just buy enough coin to make your purchases.

If there's a stuff that's been sitting on my wishlist going on a big discount, then I'll probably do it. Otherwise, I won't. It's not really a good habit to buy anything just because that thing is on a discount. Moreover, in this case, it involves spending out my Bitcoin. Even with fiat, I will always think twice to spend my money on an 80%-90% discounted stuff.

Black Friday is a big deal and im sure a lot of people are going to use bitcoin in
one way or the other to take advantage of available deals. It may be a factor
in the current market movement along with other factors i dont think its tho
sole reason.

I very much doubt that the price of Bitcoin fell down due to the Black Friday. I think that there was a completely different manipulation.

This drop can't be explained by black friday. I understand that everybody is trying to find an explanation for this sudden drop. ıt seems that price behaviour of bitcoin has changed a lot. We have seen a stable price for months and  suddenly slight drop occured while people wait for a bull market. People must evaluate this new period seriously and necessary measures must be taken.

I will start to panic a little if we crash much below $6000 though.

Are you panicking now? Grin

Probably time to log-off for today. Every board is being spammed with countless new topics about bitcoin crashing, panic selling, crypto is dead, etc. It gets pretty boring after a while. If you honestly believe crypto is dead, then just sell everything and leave the forum. You don't need to spam the place on your way out.

I'll continue to do what I've done all year - largely ignore the price, and continue to use bitcoin as a currency as and when I can.

Bitcoin is volatile, and can easily rise and crash without good/bad news. We can think of reasons and speculate on why prices move such directions, but there's really no way to know for sure.

As a Legendary member that has been here since 2014, you should probably know this by now.

He did know but what he is trying to do is get opinion and trying to rationalise by giving reasons as to why a new downward trend is being witnessed at this time which coincide with black Friday sickness.

I won't want to believe that someone who probably bought at an higher price would now sell because of Amazon price slash when you know that when the market recovers even if the price of that particular good should double, you can afford it conveniently. The  like reason is because of the volatility happening in the market and every explanation would only work as a result of timing alignment.

There is a possibility that I might do that, not necessarily on a Black Friday but in any day that a particular store offers massive discounts. It is always good to stock up some supplies while price is cheap.  Grin

Definitely, i will cash out some of my Bitcoin wallet for Black Friday because of the free giveaway and discounted price be given during Black Friday. Man must meet the needs of the family, however things are likely to be on a higher price during Xmas and New year, so, in line with this, cash out Bitcoin will be inevitable.

Take a lot at what everyone is doing, and do the opposite. Usually the best advice when it comes to making (and saving) money.

I.would rather hold on to my Bitcoin than sell at the current price. Few of my friends are eager to sell at the moment and wouldn't listen to voice of Reasoning. I've left them to their decision afterall the decision is theirs to make

No, I don't think so.
It's not good time to sell bitcoin now, specially if you had to pay more for bitcoin than what is their current value.
Hold is much better strategy than sell with loses.
Black friday s just one day and it will come again.
If you sell your bitcoin it's the end.

Most users may be driven into panic selling for black Friday shopping, but I do not think it's actually a wise idea..
As every bitcoiner is aware of the market situation, and it's unpredictable state, backing out at this point in time could be unnecessary and could come back to bite
