I think donating on some charitable organization is the best way to give this holiday season. We are all well-off with bitcoins and giving wouldn't hurt so much. Just pick out an organization that you know really well or have participated with in order to know where your money will actually go.

Patience is virtue
Well that is a good idea, of course I well donate also but I think it is better to cash it out and gave it to poor or needy man instead of BTC.
And not only that I will teach them also to find work or money using of my BTC that I earned, so that they can help their self also to live by their own effort.
But now I will help myself first to earn money/bitcoin, and trying to hold it as I can so that I can help them to the future.

🖤😏
I am not sharing my BTC to poor or any other people, but I always share some of my earnings for that purposes
None of you beggars have any Bitcoins to spend on your own miserable lives, like some body with more than a few Bitcoins would shitpost on the forum, (note, if any of you really have any thing from 0.6 to 0.8BTC to donate me, I'd appreciate it, really *you are not going to take them with you to the after life, so I'm begging you, help a young virgin boy in the dire need of jumping some or any available girl, talking to you Satoshi). how else could you determine if some body is really a lowlife beggar to persuade you into helping him? I'm here and I'm begging. don't lol, act now before I become rich, since I've invested on some rising shitcoins.

The point is to keep a bitcoin separately for donation to the poor. Donating a bitcoin directly will make sense if the receiver is aware of the functioning of bitcoin and Cryptocurrency. A poor and / or needy man can be sometimes an educated man or a knowledgeable man who is struggling to meet his ends. Bitcoin can otherwise be encashed and given to the poor.

It is always better to think big. I would rather create a trust or try to invest in healthcare or education of a poor child. All quick helps will not last long. Educating one child by spending a $25000 or more will reap great benefits to the society in comparison with feeding a whole lot of people once with the same money. Though it is not bad to feed but it is better to invest in a system that more than once continually feeds.

Yes I will donate Bitcoin to the poor and needy the way I feel is best useful for them. One percentage of the income can always be set aside for donation. After all, life is short and it is best to help as much as we can.

Not here in my country. Since it is hard here to have a stable internet connection, people also mistook cryptocurrency to pyramiding schemes. It will only cause issues here if anyone heard that you giving away bitcoin because people are like that. They won't look at your intention but will judge with your means.

maybe someday i will donate my bitcoin to the poor and needy, i think id we donate as bitcoin its useless for them i think the best way is withdraw our bitcoin into a money cash and donate it tho poor, homeless people, and needy people that need that money than me
Not only me but also my friends we are donating bitcoin to different organization who are working on human rights and some of them are going to help to poor countries because there are a lot of countries who don’t have a food to eat not clean water for drinking and in some countries kids are not going to school so we need to donate bitcoin as much as we can in order to we help to our brothers who are waiting for our donations.

I will surely donate my bitcoin for the poor and those people who are needy because i am not a selfish kind of person and i want to share my blessings to the other people who are poor and can't afford a good life so even though in a very simple and smallest way i can do, i can help them to feel happy and blessed like me.
No i never doante my bitcoin for poor but in needy yes, because if i donate my bitcoin in poor how can i sure they know bitcoin maybe i will give them cash instead of bitcoin. And for those someone who need help my i will give them also a cash because even bitcoin is higher value its better for me if i gave them cash because when they truly need it, it easy for them to use.

Donating cryptocurrency is basically the same as giving out fiat money - the only difference is that if you hold these coins it could be worth more in the future.
Other than that it is exactly the same - additionally, if you pick some organised charity funds which are accepting BTC directly - your coins will be exchanged to fiat instantly.
Personally, I am not keen on giving out money - I have no idea how certain organisation will manage the funds and how much money will actually reach the people in need.
I would rather personally pick some poor people and give them some money - or even better bought some physical goods for them.

No matter the intermediate of excahnge, helping them out is vital nowadays. If I have enough wealth, I promise I'll help poor and needy people because they're also our world and there is no difference between us.

according to me its not a bad idea to donate BTC as a charity for poor because its rate increasing day by day and they can use it as a asset because its rate is not fixed.. so they can use it as well as save it for future..

There is no point in donating with Bitcoin, not yet. A lot of charities are probably not aware of Bitcoin existence. Even if they knew how to use Bitcoin, they would probably sell it in order to get fiat for their expenses. I will consider donating in Bitcoin after it becomes more popular and wide-accepted. I know it is a matter of time so that is why I decided to hold my bitcoins no matter what happens. I would advise anyone to do the same.

To be honest, I really do not worry about this, and my concern is that most of the poor are unfamiliar with bitcoin and various altcoin and will refuse such donations.

An interesting idea in my opinion. but is there an organization that embodies this idea. what I'm worried about is the dishonest organization that handles it. and is not it better and more effective if we donate it directly. maybe that's what i'll do.

Donating some bitcoins to poor people is a great idea because it can help people in need, but it's better to donate the money that has been cashed out so that it can immediately receive the money and wear it...
