Is water wet?
Seriously Cheesy why would anybody stop using bitcoin unless it's either useless/worthless or prohibited all over the world?!
Much needs to happen in order that people stop using bitcoin.

China has banned cryptocurrency trading but it has not worked. Google is banning cryptocurrency and ICO advertisement. But i can not think that cryptocurrency will be categorically banned worldwide. People have invested a large of money and they will keep using them.

It is a hadd question to answer. Actually it is not impossible for government to ban bitcoin, It only can punish people who uses it. And i wouldn't like to get punishedfor using it

Yes I will because Govt has no right to ban my daily earnings and if he does so I will be compelled to go against him too

Yes, I am impressed with the core philosophy of Bitcoin/blockchain and I am optimistic that we will have a good picture after 5 to 10 years from now. It is the unique innovation in the history of mankind that we are able to trust a group of unknown people from across the globe more than the familiar faces and that's very fascinating. I am not against earning from speculation activities but I feel that we should treat it as a payment system in the first place. That's what Bitcoin is all about in its core. I would definitely use it even if it is getting banned but I will try to fit my transactions in a legal system.

There's still some problem in my country.  Like Most of people don't know about bitcoin and even if they know they have to first spend their time to understand blockchain. Our government not ready to accept bitcoins this is same with banks they're also not agree to accept bitcoins. Yes its still exist and some people in my area are using it but  most of the people not accepting it .

The government bans a lot of things. For example, in Venezuela it's illegal to buy US dollars on the street, but people have had a dollar black market for years. Same with drugs being illegal for decades, which hasn't stopped people from buying, selling and using. Sometimes things are banned until they become legal again, just as in many US states marijuana is now sold legally. So banning Bitcoin would not stop its use.

Yes, I will. They will not know that I'm doing illegal things and nobody thinks that way. There is no harm in using Bitcoin.

Yes.  But there is no way to ban it completely.  It will become even more valuable if governments start to ban.  It’s much better for them to regulate it and get some tax money from it.

It depends on how much BTC I will have on my hands at that moment LOL
I do not  think what the article implies will happen though. You cannot just ban cryptocurrency.

Yes, I would gladly continue to use bitcoin.
Centralized exchanges would close in some countries and decentralized ones would become popular, but I'd be there accumulating Roll Eyes

Bitcoin already died like a billion time and it never stays dead, so basically BTFD on a higher time frame.

Question in the post title...

Answer Yes/No

And I am asking because of a line in this article:
http://themonetaryfuture.blogspot.com/2011/04/legal-tender-illegal-tender-will.html

"However, pragmatically it is necessary to understand that the majority of people now do see the government as legitimate and, if Bitcoin was banned, would not use it out of a desire to be good upstanding citizens. The Bitcoin economy would lose 90% of its user base and the value of Bitcoin would crash. Therefore, Bitcoin needs to become a viable currency for legitimate business transactions."
Yes so that when bitcoin was banned you will no longer to used it in a country but since bitcoin was too many countries using it tgier is no possibility to make it banned. We can see the scenario that bitcoin has falls its price but nowadays it is on process of recovery so that nothing worried for. You can be able to used bitcoin anywhere even in any transactions.

They really ban the free will , can they ?
Banning it proves the worthiness of it , and then people might look for it more . So better for them not to ban, but i guess it will probably get banned .
And i won't stop using it , until my graphic card burns up.

the price would probably drop, so I'd stop mining as it wouldn't be profitable. though I would still accept the coins as payment because of the irreversibility.

There are about 140 currencies in use in the world today, some issued by corrupt governments with no legitimacy at all. On what ground, would a government ban one ? because it is the most recent or because it is issued by the citizen of the world ?
