These are used to draw a clearer picture to understand if some aspects (lets say gender) influence some other aspects such as behaviour and motivations. But we understand that these things are private, which is why you can skip the part about country and income question. This survey is anonymous, we don't look at individual responses but only look at the bigger picture how different datapoints influence each other.
