I have posted before that I am on the developer string for Windows 10, before I spoke about the fact that for one brief moment, between update testing, Bitcoin appears as a payment option in the Mobile Windows store app and it was gone the next day with the next update.

This is an update about a feature in the PC Windows 10 that anyone can install, but it was mentioned in the developer updates and online.  You can first activate an Ubuntu Bash shell within the Windows 10 OS.  This is not directly related to Bitcoin and Crypto, but opens some options for development.  I have not played with it much, but it apparently is Ubuntu buried in the subsystem.  Ubuntu does not know that Windows is up there, other than basic files functions and the access to the network.  Windows seems more aware of Ubuntu.  I know that for a good amount of time I literally had two PC's running five feet away when doing some development and wallet work with new coins.  There are simply some things that work better through Linux and others that work better through Windows.

The network setup is pretty much unknown to me.  I have two wireless cards installed in one PC, so it may be possible to treat them as separate network boxes.  It would be interesting to use Ubuntu to run a mining pool and have Windows mine against it, using the address of the wallet on Windows.  It is basically a waste, since the PC has a finite power to mine with and acting like it is two computers does not double that power, but it would be interesting.  If all goes well, I think the best use of this would be running two wallets and testing different scripts in the TX's between them.  You could see nearly instant results if the blockchain is moving enough.

It is a sign to me that what were once totally opposed systems of thought, the Unix machine and the newer Windows architecture are accepting that computing is a one world thing that needs to work together.  Hope that is a sign that Cryptos can make a greater impact on the world at large and be considered less of the ugly cousin that no one talks about.  I will try some things on the Bash system and see what happens and post the results as time goes by.
