Hi people,
Would you agree that, in general, the winter is the most promisingly time to invest into bitcoin?

In addition, due to the Christmas holiday, when people get together and discuss bitcoin trading, we will see a large jump in the bitcoin price?

Probably exactly the opposite.

People take breaks from work, they spend money on gifts and travelling and accommodations.
Most are enjoying the time with heir families and stop checking graphs every 5 minutes.

So no trading for normal users.
But with trade addicts, that is going to be something really different. And probably due to low volume on 24/25 31/1 I would definitely stay away from margin trading or even arbitrage those days.

I'm not sure whether this is all because of the winter holidays letting the users to go united and discuss about bitcoin and other digital currencies. I have seen that every year shows good price increase by the last days. This time too expect the same thing to happen.

Yeah, like I have nothing to discuss with my relatives other than money and finance on x-mas.
And remember 2013?  That was an increase....not.

why do you talk about winter? because it is cold, it does not means that people will invest in bitcoin, because they are just paying attention to the price, not to the weather..

Hi people,
Would you agree that, in general, the winter is the most promisingly time to invest into bitcoin?

It has always been the opposite, a lot of people are always withdrawing some money to purchase some stuff or just gifting money to their families only because of holidays, christmas and that giant party of the brad new year.

In addition, due to the Christmas holiday, when people get together and discuss bitcoin trading, we will see a large jump in the bitcoin price?

If you are expecting a pump because of that, you are completely wrong

Hmmm. I will answer you based on my experience. Last year, around December bitcoin rose to its peak of more than $800. So it this trend continues, bitcoin at the end of the year will still go up. And I also agree that there's no perfect time to buy bitcoin, although it make sense to get it at dip. But if you are willing protrude with your cash and pour it out, then go ahead. And yeah, I think when you gather with your friends and family during this holiday, it will be a perfect time to discuss what up with you this year and you can be proud that you are a "bitcoiner". And just maybe if you can explain it that they can understand, you can swayed some of your friends to invest as well. Or better you guys invest on it together.

In winter there are a lot of people who are going to be holidays and then there is get together going to take place so definitely people are going to discuss about bitcoin and that gatherings is very use full for bitcoin it increase the quantity of users so I think winter is very good for bitcoin and not only in winter we need to discuss bitcoin in our school collages and in any party and its will not only become more strong but also it will be more stable.

Have a look at the past performance during this time. This may help you to make a reasonable decision.
For instance the last 4 years, january always had been a red month. So Bitcoin doesn't seem to perform that well with the beginning of a new year.

I do not think that Bitcoin will jump so high before Christmas. people will be interested in some other things before the holidays.

I don't agree, I feel people would be short of money this time of year, also why Europe? You simply mean to clarify that you mean November - January instead of June etc?

why did you mention Europe?

But no, I don't agree. Like others have said, people are travelling, buying gifts and whatnot during the holidays, and the thing about Bitcoin is that it doesn't follow an specific trend or season, there's no "specific time to invest" in cryptocurrencies. Investing in btc during christmas will be the same as investing in btc on January 1st.
And just so you know, the btc price doesn't go up just because people get together during the holidays to talk about bitcoin and trading, that's not how Bitcoin works.

I'm not sure if there are actually any seasonal trends and if there are I'm not sure there's any real reason behind them. Some immediate thoughts are yours but also that many people may sell in bitcoin to fund christmas gifts etc.

Let's invest Bitcoin anytime you want because Bitcoin has really become a power very many supporters. We need a bit of heating in winter. if Bitcoin is burning, then a warm winter will come to you. seems it is a good idea  Wink
I think a lot of people need to sell some coins to cover a very warm Christmas miracle so the price may slightly decrease instead of increase

There doesn't seem to be any particular reason to invest in Winter, if you want to buy it you should just go for it. The price of bitcoin seems to be detached from any other factors, it has become a beast of its own. The best thing you'll find is general trends, but it is so high right now that it could reverse before it carries on up.
It seems to me that you are not right. In the period of Christmas holidays always falling business activity. This means that falling income and thus reduces purchasing power. It seems to me that the growth of bitcoin can recover only in mid-January. But until mid-December we will have the opportunity to enjoy price growth.

I am yet to find the understanding the relationship between festivities and bitcoin. What if we explain it the other way round that because of the festivities people will then need to convert massively in other to meet up with the expenses that come along with this period. In other words, instead of seeing a jump in the price of bitcoin, we see a dump in price.

The better we realize that every time presents its own opportunity to invest the moment you can afford which is not tied to either gathering of people or planned events that doesn't have any relationship to bitcoin.

if you're asking about time,
everytime is a good time to buy Bitcoin or invest your money into Bitcoin,
because it's a lot of potential in the future and i believe slowly it will be used by many people for their needs.
(that also mean it's a good time to buy it if you're holding it for a while not for a short time)
'Winter' is a place for traders to spend some of their profit after doing a lot of trades for a months,
which mean that time people most likely people will sell some of their bags to pay their needs, vacation and something similiar to that.
with that the price will be declined a little bit much and downrun will happen for a week or so.
right now Bitcoin price is very high, many people said that Bitcoin is overbought.
we may be can see a huge downrun in the future or this 'Winter' time may be will become a trigger for those downward movement.
so i think it would be wise for you to wait and deciding your move after observe the movement that will happen when that time comes.

No, in winter and Christmas holiday people invest more to buy gifts, games for kids and travels.

it’s hard to find online market allow you to buy/sell gifts using bitcoin and it’s better to use other payment methods more than BTC.

so that in that time demand of bitcoin will be less than normal.

about invest yes price may be down.

I think even on the contrary people will need money for spending on gifts. It's also time to give your family time for holidays, therefore, once it will be bitcoin to deal with, here's the ready recession and sale.
