Don't for sure those people who had been bought at ATH of BTC and altcoins and still to choose to hold and stay here has been already immune by the market it doesn't matter to them if the market goes down or up but they are really for long term here in crypto world.

Sometimes I understand your feeling very well. In crysis times alts fall much harder than BTC.
Due to having lower market capitalization than bitcoin, altcoins take a hit more than bitcoin when bitcoin's price is making rapid movements. People who are in the market for some time knew this that's why when bitcoin make this kind of movement, you should be quick too in buying or selling because you can find an opportunity in it. I hold some altcoins that lose 95% of its value already that's why I learned my lesson of not being greedy and take profit when it reach my target price because altcoins price fluctuates very much one minute you are in profit and the next one you are at a loss.
These are exactly my take aways too, try to take profits instead of riding the wave until the end and fall off the board. Not sure if everyone was too greedy but certainly too sloppy and careless. This market does not forgive that, you need to be sharp as a knife or will be eaten by sharks..metaphorically speaking.
Don't be to harsh about altcoins, it's maybe you buy an altcoins that's not have a potential to grow. Many factors can be considered regarding your losses, might be due to bad timing because of bitcoin's time to shine pump and of course nobody knows how long it will be, maybe you are just having a bad time investing in alt, another thing is if you bought some bad alts in the first place. Losses are part of the cryptocurrency anyway.
Now there will be bitcoin pump before ETF launch in September, then everyone will invest in altcoins, I believe that in early autumn.
I know we all invested on good and promising altcoins that we believe might end up as the best coin.
I have made really good money when I invested in altcoins. First, I was choosing alts from top-10 but later, I understood that the other cryptos can also bring profits.
I disagree if you have to throw one of them, bitcoin is a long-term investment and you can use altcoin for long-term or short-term trading, do not use it all in altcoin because it's more at risk

Well, altcoin is very profitable if you invested at the very nice price but if you invested at the very high price most probably you are now lossing lots of money if you will not continue to hold. So, keep holding to keep your money with you.

Oh I felt this way early this year and am still feeling this way yeah. The market downfall is terrible and far too long to recover. 6months already and counting
I do not agree with you. There are good altcoins that have grown many times and already have their value. Analyze the market, you will find a lot of good coins.
There are many good altcoins! In addition, they give more profit than Bitcoin! To whom that is more like! I like altcoys more!
If you are unable to earn in altcoin and have bought high, you should just hold it there and not sell any because the market is red and you have no chance to earn right now. Just hold on to your portfolio. Late in the year when you cash good incase the market is high, you will be able to re invest in a good crypto like Bitcoin or ETH or Litecoin. Do not forget the lesson to evaluate a crypto before investing.
Take a look at the losses that are a lesson for you, see them as a mistake and stand firm on your feet in the future.

I admit that there are some coins in the market that usually sucks or in other words a shitcoin but there's also a good coin which we can really rely on like ethereum or even neo and many more those coin has a great potential in market , you just need to be wise in choosing.
Well, I've invested all my bitcoin in altcoins every time I've earned trading bitcoins, I can not hold them and buy more altcoins. Now, most altcoins come down because of the bitcoin pump but I still believe that all altcoins will increase soon and we only need to wait a moment. I always have patience to wait for the price is up and if I have to sell my coins, I can still get profits 
Just saying, you can make much more money trading Altcoins than BTC, specially if you look to solid project with low market cap. Dont give up on Alts so quickly, just let this bearish period finish and we will all gonna celebrate the take off hopefully

are you stuck on altcoin. should you understand about altcoin before buying it. but currently altcoin prices follow the bitcoin price movement. so I think it's the same. even you will get 2-5x if bitcoin price goes up.
