I think they are no safe in this world  especially in a internet world. Even a government security system has been hack. The only way we can avoid hacker is double check your filling up form. And dont go to the site that make you suspicious .
now more and more varied hacking techniques, whenever this risk could have happened not only in the crypto but also in the bank system even if it can be hacked, the important thing is to remain cautious with all things suspicious such as phishing sites, applications that contain viruses and so forth, secure your wallet with additional security like google auth or sms auth, it will strengthen your wallet mate

It's about as safe as your credit cards, bank accounts or personal information. If you leave your doors open you can expect to get robbed, right?

Less troubles
With all that money 400 million dollar and still they can't secure their money. To me I find it hard to believe that crappy story, this is an inside job. Though I know that no matter how high your security is someone will some how crack it but then with 400million the company is in position to get the best and recent technology for proper security.
If you can't secure your money what else can you secure..

Hackers are everywhere and if they want to hack you they can, the only thing we can do is to prevent it. Additional to all the tips given by these amazing people, heres mine.

- dont post on social media anything about your bitcoin account most probably for people who screenshot their wallet to boost their ego and to tell people they are rich.

- dont tell your account to anyone even to your friend, specially on email or messenger or any chats.

- dont give some informations from unsecured sites or out of the blue phone calls specially when they are so suspicious.

Prevention is always better than cure, and we should be careful on using internet to prevent from being a target.

It's not alarming already since we know that hackers are everywhere wandering on the web just to find a prey. There is no safe system, IMO and what we can do is us to be vigilant at all times to counter them firsthand.

There is nothing on earth that is totally secure and safe, just make sure you protect your wallet by not clicking phishing link and don't  expose your private keys and password.

Your cryptocurrencies are as safe as you secure them. Make sure your private keys and passwords are properly stored and secured. The developers have done their part to make it secure, it's up to you to keep your coins safe.

"Hackers are everywhere.                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Precautions                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Store your tokens in the wallet for which you hold the private keys.
Obviously store these private keys in safe place and you should save them in the offline password manager.                                                                                                                       Try to use the hardware wallet is advisable."

Because of the hackers some investors are now afraid to invest and they are afraid of losing their money because of this hackers. Like what happened now in the Philippines a Filipino couple ammases at least P900M in alleged bitcoin scam and it can contribute to the Filipino investors to afraid in investing bitcoin.

Well, most hackers use social engineering to hack their victims. In most cases it has nothing to do with technology. However the largest hacks actually had to do with tech exploits. So once a person learns how to avoid scam crypto space is safe for him/her.

The way that our tokens are being transferred, sell, and recieved are safe and secured because cryptocurrency are using blockchain technology which is, i believe the safest innovation for security and protection of our money. The only way that a hacker or a group of it may be succeasful is when they completely manipulated or tricked the individuals or a group by means of copying its site, wallet site, and any way that can obtain your private key. So mostly, the fault is in the individuals holding its private key.

From the point of safety, i could say that new coins are more secure than previous ones, because they use and update them with advanced technology, but for sure there is a risk for us as our coins can be stolen by hackers, but there is a risk anywhere and anything. High risk high profit Smiley

Hackers are creating problems all over the world. Cryptocurrency would be safe, but you have to take extra measures.
No, how can you take them so easily? They are much sharp than us. Just see, bitcoins are safe and secure we accept this fact but that is their security? Only one key, a private key that must be kept secret. And what if this key would be known to someone else, all of your privacies are open to everyone. Hackers are only trying to get that private key that isn’t much hard for them to retrieve.

If you don't trade your coins frequently then it is much better to store it in a hardware wallet than in the exchange because there is always a possibility of it being hacked. We have seen various hacks of exchanges in the past and it resulted to people losing their coins and one of the biggest is the Mt. Gox hack and this is the period where most people realize the importance of storing your coins in your own wallet not in the exchanges. Also, do not just download anything because there is a possibility of it having a virus that might steal your coins. If possible separate your computer using/trading cryptocurrencies and for other things you do online.
