Mumbai Indians used to be one of the franchises where Indian players used to perform as good as the overseas players. But yesterday the match was completely dominated by overseas players. Mumbai got to 182/4 thanks to Nat Sciver-Brunt, Hayley Matthews and Amelia Kerr. Yastika Bhatia and Harmanpreet Kaur couldn't contribute much. And while bowling, it was Issy Wong who ensured their victory. Saika Ishaque managed to pickup wickets of two tailenders though. Sciver-Brunt also contributed with the wicket of Grace Harris.
The big match is tomorrow. Mumbai Indians will be taking on Delhi Capitals, and the winners will be the first ever champions of the Women's Premier League. My wild guess is that Meg Lanning will be lifting the trophy tomorrow.
