Few days ago one women game was ended between Italy-W team vs Germany-W team of this series Italy Women in Germany women T20I match. This series has only one game and played on Bayer Uerdingen Cricket Ground. Italy-W team won the toss and got a chance to take first bat or bowl and Italy-W team chose bat first. Italy-W team set 116 runs target in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. M. Rathnayake played well and scored 24 runs in 21 balls and hitting four 4s. Kumudu also batted well other batsman and she scored 20 runs. But the target was not very tough to chase but Italy-W team bowlers performed very great and bowled out 9 wickets of Germany-W team for 68 runs and won this game by 48 runs of big margin. P.Kanankege got a player of game award because she showed good effort in bowling and she took down 1 wicket and also 2 catches in fielding.
Italy men's national team is almost entirely comprised of citizens, but their women's team is majority expat. Germany is hopeless. Irrespective of the gender all of their teams are comprised of expats mainly. Italy managed to win all the matches in group stage, and then went on to win the final against Germany. On the other hand, the only team that was exclusively comprised of native players (Jersey Women) managed to win just one match and couldn't even qualify for the finals. So disappointing.

Total eight matches of this competition The Hundred Women was fully completed and in last match Eight, both Southern Brave women sqaud and Northern Superchargers women squad was participated for fighting. Both these sqaud are present on bottom number of standing table and both lost one match each as well one match drawn. So both these sqauds need more hard practice and also major improvement in their innings to promote into next number to reach on final matches. Anyways in this eight match, both sqaud displayed equal performance and this match was drawn and really this match was amazing superb and Southern Brave women sqaud targeted 100 scores off 100 deliveries no one delivered strong performance same situation with against sqaud Women and their batters also not played good and achieved 100 scores and tied this match. Irrespective of who won the women's Asia Cup, I have to say that the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) did a great job in conducting the tournament in a successful way. There were a total of 8 participants (including 4 associates). On the other hand, the women's world cup has just 10 participants. The matches were telecast live on cable TV and OTT, and the viewer numbers were quite impressive. Now compare this to the conduct of the (men's) ICC T20I World Cup a few months back. That was a complete disaster, with matches being scheduled during the rainy season and the cheapest tickets being priced at $400 apiece.

You know, I can't say that 165 is that bad of a score in a T20 match of women’s cricket. India actually put on a decent score in my opinion. The problem is, India was unable to bowl and fielding well. And looking at the track later on, either it became really easy for the batter to score or it was a far better track than only 165. When I saw that India actually gave a target of 165, I thought Sri Lanka women are not going to be able to chase that down successfully. But Sri Lanka played really well and in the end won pretty comfortably. A win by eight wickets and having eight balls left against a team like India is definitely a great result for any team in the women’s cricket. Lankan Women just made a history by winning their first Women's Asia Cup title.

Because Harsitha Madhavi was the best performer and scored 69 runs off 51 balls, she performed well enough to win the Sri Lanka women's team. Although India managed to put pressure on the bowling side in this match but failed to bring down wickets, I am definitely happy enough here. And the captain must be thanked for playing the most important role in making the Sri Lankan team win the final match and take the trophy.
Sri Lanka Women won by 8 wickets Against India Women and become champion of Women Asia Cup T20, 2024. Many people expected that india women Is going to win the final as they have many talented players in their squads. Although we shouldn't forget that, Sri Lanka women is also a strong team who also proved their ability which was seen in previous Matches. In the final, India Women won the toss and they opted to Bat first! Maybe they should opted to bowl first cause they have many professional player who can bat well. Well the starting was good enough. Smriti Mandhana(60) did half century. But rest of players should made more runs, like Jemimah Rodrigues(29) and Harmanpreet Kaur(9) including Shafali Verma(16). Well their final Score was 165-6 runs. Afterwards Sri Lanka women started batting and fall 1st wicket at 7-1 runs. After that, they played incredibly. Chamari Athapaththu(61) and Harshitha(69) showed the legendary performance ever what made their team won the match.
That is surprise for me because I was expecting that Indian W team will win this match. Indian W team is best team but that is unlucky team and could not win the Asia cup. Sri Lankan Women team won the semi final match against Pakistan and I thought that Sri Lankan Women team will easily lose this match but all credit goes to Sri Lankan team. Congratulations to the Sri Lankan Women team due to best strategy in this match and they won due to great combination of players. I think at that point to play against India W team and won,that not easy task. Clapping for the Sri Lankan team because now they are champions.Indian team could not defend this score because for final match that target was enough but Indian bowlers could not defend that.
If India would win this final match in women’s Asia Cup then no doubt, the Indian team will be the most lucky and strongest team in 2024 because they won the World Cup in 2024, which was the big achievement for them that they got in 2024 as well but after this they won the Legends League.
In that league in which the Legends were playing like Harbajan Singh and others, in the final, they gave defeat to the Pakistan legends and won the Champion League. After that their women team had a chance to be champion of Asia cup but they just qualififed for the final and lost it. However, for their women team also a chance remain for the T20 World cup which will start in October.
