The only reason Germany does so well is the midfield. You look at teams like Portugal and Argentina, their midfield is extremely weak. Now take a look at Germany, their formation and all the strong players they have. Schweinsteiger, Gotze, Kroos. The midfield is what really matters in the ending rounds.
