Why they blame/troll Iran if they have also the nuclear weapon? How much nuclear weapon do you think Iran owns (right now)?

Iran may be on its way to develop nuclear weapons (but I think even that is many many years away). Right now, Iran is not in the possession of any nukes, compared to Israel which is having at least five dozen of them.

I have heard that also israel owns nuclear weapons, but I can't find the article where I have read that thing. Why the "World" isn't worried about israel but it is worried about iran? It doesn't make any sense... Correct me if I am wrong.

According to various estimates, Israel is having somewhere between 50 and 70 nuclear weapons, which were given to them by the United States. But Israel has never conducted non-civilian nuclear experiments. And IMO, it is very unfair to ask Iran to give up their nuclear program, when their main enemy is allowed to keep their dozens of nukes.

In addition, Israel has refused to sign the Non Proliferation Treaty.

Why they haven't signed that treaty?
[/quote]

The reason is it will prevent them from developing nuclear weapons, while giving them access to nuclear technology for civilian purposes.
They don't want that.  Tongue

The US has given 0 nuclear warheads to other nations. From time to time, US nuclear warheads have been housed in US military bases located in foreign countries (e.g. Jupiter missiles in Turkey), but always under US control. Israel's nuclear program was self-developed, though with much help from France during the development of their nuclear program:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_weapons_and_Israel#Weapons_production_1966.E2.80.93present

The Israeli nuclear development program is a big myth. The technology was given to them by the USA, the Uranium was given to them by the USA, and even the scientists were provided by the United States
Atomic Energy Commission.

Whether the US gave them the technology or not is debatable, but they definitely have nuclear weapons. Israel is estimated to have between 75-400 nuclear warheads and is the biggest source of instability in the Middle East.

An important news about the "nuclear accord":

U.S. President Barack Obama is facing a stubborn opposition to the framework agreement from his Republican opponents in Congress, and even from some of his fellow democrats. There is no doubt that the opposition in Congress would be eased if the Israelis were to suddenly see the light and realize that the P5+1 agreement is not a bad deal, and much better than no deal.
....
The framework accord will be expanded to a full agreement by next June. In return, the world community agreed that once a full agreement is signed, the international boycott of Iran will be totally lifted.

The Pentagon has upgraded and tested the largest bunker-buster bomb in the US, powerful enough to disable Iran’s most heavily fortified nuclear facilities in case of failure to reach a nuclear deal, a senior US official told the Wall Street Journal. “The Pentagon continues to be focused on being able to provide military options for Iran if needed,” an unnamed senior US official has been quoted as saying. “We have not taken our eyes off the ball.

According to the Wall Street Journal report, work on the bunker buster (the so-called Massive Ordnance Penetrator, or MOP) started before the latest round of talks with Iran. The most recent testing took place in mid-January, when the improved bunker buster was dropped at a testing site at an undisclosed location by a B-2 bomber that took off from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, officials told the publication. The Wall Street Journal reported in 2012 that according to Pentagon war planners the 30,000-pound (13,607 kg) bunker buster wasn’t powerful enough to destroy some fortified Iranian nuclear facilities. So work reportedly began to upgrade the bomb’s design and guidance systems.

According to senior officials, the results show the improved bomb—when dropped one on top of the other—is now more capable of penetrating fortified nuclear facilities in Iran or in North Korea, The Wall Street Journal reported.

I have nothing against them and their research program. They said it's only for the purpose of research and building power plants, so what is the problem? So many countries have nuclear weapons and are not willing to give them up, but trying to block others from making their own. We already had a war started because one country thought the other has nuclear missiles and it turned out they were wrong.

I have heard that also israel owns nuclear weapons, but I can't find the article where I have read that thing. Why the "World" isn't worried about israel but it is worried about iran? It doesn't make any sense... Correct me if I am wrong.

Because Iran's official policy is that Israel should not exist and has pledged repeatedly to wipe them off the map. That is why people who don't want them to have nuclear weapons don't want them to have them. Again, their official policy is the promised destruction of Israel. Governments that promise to destroy other countries if given the capabilities (e.g. North Korea, Iran) are countries you don't want to actually give the capability to do that.

Not defending, just explaining.

That's completely normal, given that Israel is constantly killing people in Gaza, and those people are Muslims, just like Iranians and Syrians.
I'm sure you've seen this picture. http://socialtextjournal.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/palestine_category.jpeg

Until this expansion stops there will be more and more people dedicated to fighting Israel and sooner or later these people will get nuclear weapons. It's just a matter of time. Trying to stop the Iranians from building nuclear power plants is completely pointless. What if someone didn't allow you to have a metal workshop at home, because you might start making rifles?

This is an interesting point, jaysabi can I ask you from which country are you from ?

Because if your country would be invaded like Palestin I don't think you would be happy or am I wrong? However I have opened a thread :

you can discuss of what do you think about Palestine & israel. Now please stop here (use the other thread) thanks.

I'm playing devil's advocate, and I'm from the US. Just for the record, I'm more sympathetic to the Palestinians than the Israelis, however both sides shoulder so much blame in this conflict it's almost pointless trying to parse it out, but the Israeli's as the dominant military force and who unquestionably keep the Palestinians impoverished, definitely shoulder more of the blame for the current situation. I'll switch to the other thread.

Not the same analogy. If I said, "when I get a gun, I'm gonna kill my neighbors" you'd probably be apprehensive about me acquiring a gun, so you might not allow me to buy one. And when I say "Well then I'm gonna build my own rifle, and also, my neighbor has no right to live," then you'd be right to be nervous about me acquiring a rifle.

bullshit misquote/mistranslation from an american newspaper that has been debunked time after time. iran's aim is the destruction of israel as the jewish supremacist apartheid political entity that it is, not the physical destruction of the people living there with nuclear or any other type of weapons

iran's official policy that nuclear weapons are un islamic and forbidden.

They certainly do, although they are keeping the numbers a secret. It's believed they owned them since the 60s, because they refused to sign the Nonproliferation Treaty in 1968. Israel is one of the most aggressive countries, waging constant wars almost like the US. They are of course afraid of the Iran's nuclear program, because they might supply Syria and thus balance the scales.
You can find a lot of information here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_weapons_and_Israel

Thanks.

Can Iran be truly trusted in the long term?
Iran has aspirations for regional and world supremacy, their ultimate goal is to attain nuclear arms

I can ask you the same thing for israel. What will you reply? Also they want to suppress the palestinian people en every day they "catch" a piece of their land. However I don't want to "convert" this thread into a israel-Palestinian thread conflict.

I hope a deal is reached before Billary becomes the POTUS in 2016. Whatever we say about Obama, have to agree that he is dovish compared to the other hawks out there, such as McCain, Biden and Billary.

Yes I hope the same thing, here another article :

Iran could turn a "new page" in its relations with the rest of the world, the country's president, Hassan Rouhani, said on Friday as he faced down hardliners opposed to the framework nuclear agreement hammered out in Lausanne, Switzerland earlier this week. Mr Rouhani's speech in Tehran came as President Barack Obama worked in Washington to convince sceptical Republicans in Congress not to wreck a deal that was denounced on Friday by Israel's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, as a threat to his country's survival.
...
Despite what regional experts describe as ongoing Saudi misgivings, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia told Mr Obama that he hoped a final settlement of the nuclear dispute would "strengthen the stability and security of the region and the world". "It's about verification. If they don't comply, the boycott will be reimposed. This is a reassuring result," a Gulf source close to official Saudi thinking told Reuters, adding that Riyadh was still worried about Tehran's wider role in the region.
