Since everything is uncertain, people may think that bitcoin may be a risk they are entering into--but they are wrong, in fact bitcoin is a great investment to those who want to grow their money bigger and bigger as time goes by. People tend to use it as a tool for success. One should not be worried regarding the capability of bitcoin to emerge as days go by. It will flourish and you should not be threatened of the news you read or hear from the internet. Bitcoin is a sure win investment.

I see a lot of optimism about bitcoin, which is understandable seeing the price recently.
But I have to admit I'm a little worried about the long term future of btc.
The major problems if the currency still haven't been dealt with. I see 2 major ones:

-Block size. Which makes the delay and fees of transaction rise very fast. Smaller transactions are more and more difficult to make.
-The centralization of the market. China got low cost electricity, which make them by far the most bitcoin mining capable.
-And maybe others that I'm not aware of.

Another thing: The Hard forks that are oddly getting much more frequent than before. (BCH, BTG, Segwitx2 etc...) It almost looks like "attacks" in order to divide us. Now called "airdrops" by the community. Even though they're supposed to solve some of the problems.

All in all, this makes me really worried about btc future. I've been a strong holder since 2014, and I made quite a lot of money with bitcoins, but I begin to doubt now, even though the price is crushing ATM. Please help me keeping faith. Or should I switch to another currency ? Really thinking about ETH recently.
With your second point:

It seems like more people regardless of the amount of splits end up depending on Bitcoin anyway. We can tell this by the amount of people who quickly dumped their Bitcoin cash instantly to get more Bitcoin. Furthermore, the support of the splits aren't as widespread as the support of Bitcoin itself.

Switching to ETH will be the biggest mistake you can make, because it is based on fraudulent practices, like pre-mined coins and a centralized circle of founders, who received coins prior to the release of the coin. These Founders have the key to the gates and 100% control over the development.

Hard forks in Bitcoin are part of a open consensus model, so it is no threat to Bitcoin. It was developed like this to give users of this coin the power to determine it's future. < No central authority will make that decision >

Most of the free coins after these forks are sold and those people then buy more legacy bitcoins. So it inject new capital into Bitcoin again. < taking it away from the supporters of these failing forks and dumping it into Bitcoin original >
There is only one guy that can think like this, Roger Ver. The bitcoin hard forks will never harm the original bitcoin for long as we saw it last year. It may only attract more buyers to bitcoin which may help boost the bitcoin price.

Your concerns are quite reasonable to consider as High transaction fees and long confirmation hours are being a limitation for the growth of Bitcoin. Now as far as hard forks are concern, I consider it another altcoin. so there is no threat from hard forks to bitcoin. Let's see how investors react to this in future.
Investors are now afraid of not a large Commission and slow speeds, and the price of bitcoin. The price can fall several times very quickly. This is the main fear for the investor.

In my opinion bitcoin will still remain the strongest coin above all. But this year, the markets has dominated by alt coins, its normal because many people invest in altcoin in order to get a lot of money. Wait see that someday will become balanced.

I am only worried that in our country bitcoin would be banned and the bitcoin user's in my country couldn't withdraw their money.
But I think other than that there isn't anything to be worried about when it comes in bitcoin .

"The futures reduce the frictions of going short more than they do of going long, so it's probably net bearish," said Craig Pirrong, a business professor at the University of Houston. "Having this instrument that makes it easier to short might keep the bitcoin price a little closer to reality."

What worries me about the future of bitcoin is that governments are forbidding the use of bitcoins and making their users unprofitable, bitcoin will still exist but will not be accepted.

To be honest, I am a bit worried about Bitcoin. Its price really dropped and so wiht other altcoins. But at the back of my mind, Bitcoin has proven so much that many could say it will dominate in the future.

I think its time that bitcoin devs and the community think about switching to Proof of Stake algorithm. As it will consume less electricity and decentralize the bitcoin network tremendously. It will take away the power from a few miners to all of the bitcoin community.

Bitcoin is still the strongest and the most trendy cryptocurrency and will remain in view of that and there is no defense to make miserable about. We all know that bitcoin is getting stronger because of people who hug and see the possibilities. Bitcoin has been making for on a decade and this is not the best time to doubt what can be done sooner or to the front-thinking. I hope we will see soon, some alt coin will not be affected by bitcoin value.

In my opinion, there is no reason to worry about Bitcoin because the future of Bitcoin is rising, it is expected that more prices will increase. So Bitcoin is expected to increase further because the market that coins are in the market, the market will increase further because if other coins increase then Bitcoin will increase, if there is a lot more profit, it is expected that in the whole world today the prices of BITKAQUE, which are popular in the world, are increasing in the future.I trust and still believe that bitcoin will survive.

You don't have to worry about the Bitcoin as it is strong enough to get up to a high price in the future. Like me i just hold it for further investment.  Kiss I think bitcoin will give me a surprise in the future. Smiley

Yes, remain optimistic in positive thoughts, bitcoin will not die, but still can grow and grow, currently bitcoin prices fall, but future bitcoin prices will improve again and can jump higher.

I don't think it's necessary to worry too much. Mainly depends on the number of people to use. Look at this point. None of the others can compare with BTC. So I think the future of BTC must be good

There is no need to worry about the prices of bitcoins in the future, there are a lot of people before that did not believe on the growth of bitcoins when it was very cheap and now they are all envy and some are regretting on not investing when it was just 13 dollar.
